Mutu-Juve, il retroscena
11 11 2004
Mutu-Juve, what's behind

Adrian Mutu's future seems closer and closer to Juve. The Rumenian forward has been banned six months for his drug problems and Wednesday he has been seen in a Milan meeting with people from GEA (Alessandro Moggi's soccer agent company). GEA will manage his soccer career now on, replacing Ioan Becali, his former agent.

During the next months, Mutu will be tutored by Massimo Brambati, right hand of Moggi. Brambati will report every week on Mutu's behaviour and on his committment, considering in June he may join Juventus

My comment. Virgilio is a Romanist media, so everything they write should be given second thoughts. However I think that Moggi is trying to bring Mutu to Juventus.

this would be some news.just a fortnight after he is sacked for taking drugs he joins another high profile club in the league where he made his name.

it would be a good move,as long as we don't have top pay his salary till the ban ends,or at least if he takes a pay cut for the time being.

If he's going to join Juve, I think Mutu will agree not to paid during his ban. If anything, he'll probably agree not to sign with any other teams after his ban expires, and we'll give him a contract at the end of 7 months :D

We don't need Mutu at Juve, i know he's talented player, but i see no reason why mutu should be in with us, we got enough attackers and incase we needed some.

Most of you expect alot from mutu, i cant deny he had an awsome season with parma, but still that doesn't mean he's right for Juve.

I wont talk about the drugs, it became useless talking about it, but you all know right now that after what he did, bringing him to juve would be the biggest mistake ever even if he's for free.

Mutu is like beckham he cares for being under camera and making the advertisments but when it comes to football he aint that good.

Chelsea's coach Mourinho is one of the greatest coaches ever, i don't think if mutu was THAT great player your talking about he would keep him on the bench.

Those have to be 2 of the most groundless statements I've read in a while

Mutu is addicted :)
Well, he denied he's addicted and even if he was, he's gonna be rehabilitating for the next 7 months. I don't see a problem with getting him.....I don't believe something like that should stain you for life if you honestly try to quit.

I suppose you'd rather Del Piero  :groan: This guy gets so much credit and hype when he participates in the slightest semi-useful play.

And the "he aint that good in football" part? Personal experience too? :irritate:
i admit he had great season with parma, but still he hasn't shown his quality in football, for the position he plays he should show alot of his talents. we saw how many matches he played with chelsea , and scoring 6 or sth like this..

he might be good in football, but nor juve's quality , thats what i meant:)

Oh come on, you dont want him to come because your prescious Alex would lose his place in the team.

Anyways, I agree Desmond, I'd sign Mutu right away if I were Moggi, if he agrees that he wont get payed during the duration of his ban.

EDIT: What is Juve quality, Del Piero? Because if a guy who was second best scorer in the league, while having most assists in the league isnt Juve quality, I dont know who is.
