Cuomo's support is strongly from "minorities," I still expect him to win regardless of what polls say.

Someone I know calls him a "nepo baby." The hit pieces are coming in hot from people you would expect :touched:

Out of curiosity I read the NY Times editorial about their non-recommendation of the candidates. Must be the worst editorial I have read in a long while. It basically boiled down to “We know Cuomo is a sexual predator and a sleazebag, but you should still vote for him. But just so you know, we are not really recommending one candidate over the other.” At least the NY Post shit on Mamdani without making excuses.
(It’s so weird that here I am in a country I just made home two years ago, having more info about the politics of a country I have only visited a handful of times than any other country including my own at times. It’s wild)

The Post is just firmly conservative, they've called him an antisemite multiple times already :disagree:. American media is just that powerful I guess, because I can't see our elections being much more interesting than anyone else's.

Wake me up when the ballot boxes are stuffed with Cuomo votes
I wouldn't put it passed some of these neighborhoods... :shifty:

"so now they say they CANCELED my nobel peace prize nomination... WHO TF CARES! the NOBEL is TOTALLY RIGGED — they gave it to BARACK HUSEIN OBAMA for doing NOTHING! i brought PEACE to the middle east, india and pakistan, but no one will give credit for it. NOBODY HAS EVER DONE so much for global peace than DJT! just got a call from a republican senator saying "SIR, THEY ARE SO, SO UNGREATFUL, no one has ever seen anything like that before! SAD!!! KEEP WORKING HARD!"

Since it seems there are people following the primary: I don't want to say anything, but the numbers are looking pretty good for Zohran right now with 82% of the vote counted.

Wow, I think he's legitimately going to end the first round on top. This is a a huge overperformance.

Cuomo pretty much sounded like he's conceding. I'm astounded. He's definitely going to be an independent though.

I’m sure Israel will pull enough strings to help him win the final.

What are Adams’ chances?
Virtually non-existent right now in my opinion. But I don't think for one second that established, mainstream Democrats are going to just accept these results. For sure there will be some sort of strong independent candidate that will have the backing of not only the, let's call it for now, "Cuomo wing" of Democrats but also national Republican support.

For an example of what I think they will be attempting, see Buffalo 2021: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Buffalo_mayoral_election

However, if Mamdani does win the general election I think not even Democrats would be stupid enough to not accept that this is their path forward, and we will begin to see a shift nationally as we did with Trump. Of course, they could just be retarded and go down in flames sabotaging themselves as well, but it's impossible to fight against the turnout we saw today if it gets repeated.

I think AOC could possibly win. She represents a large population that otherwise typically has no representation and therefore doesn't usually vote. Look at Biden's number's in 2020 as an example when that population was mobilized against Trump, and Kamala's in 2024 when they were not appeased. Of course, would need the right campaign for it though.
And this is why I keep saying this. Pollsters again got it wrong for this same reason.

The democrats have shown plenty of times that they’d rather lose than change.
