Tesla reports 13% drop in first-quarter vehicle deliveries from a year ago - wonder how many actual deliveries were for the gubbermint?!
My Trumpy neighbor bought a Tesla today. Unfortunately not the most expensive model though. Lmao.
All libs in the neighborhood are owned now.

some republican dude said the other day that maybe giving presidents the authority to introduce tariffs wasn't the best idea and congress should consider taking that power back. maybe it's time to listen to that man

so apparently it's higher than 10% for many countries

and trump still parrots his ideas about other countries ripping murica off and tariffs (paid by muricans) being the solution. :sergio:
This is the story of the “Tariffs charged to the USA” column. What an era we’re living in.

They used trade balance numbers as tariffs charged. How can one be this stupid?

Midterms are going to be pretty funny next year. All the Trumpie’s bragging about how he is great for 401K returns should be feeling pretty ridiculous right now if they weren’t completely shameless. However, if the markets do crash and fail to fully recover by midterms, GOP is going to get absolutely slaughtered by the independents.

Maybe not: gerrymandering might be a GOP weapon.

Like I saw earlier, some economist was asking "what's your trade deficit with Walmart"?

I've purchased a lot of shit in my lifetime from Juventus Store. I'm declaring a 10000% tariff on Juventus immediately.

It has been for years and will continue to be, but that won’t change the fact independents and purples will massacre them if they tank everyone’s 401Ks through midterms. It will be a bloodbath.

My personal opinion on why they have gone guns blazing with tariffs, government layoffs, etc.. is that they are trying to speedrun a market crash and recession and start turning things around later this year for massive growth and a huge bull market in 2026. They’re going to put through their major tax cuts and deregulation for big business, pump investments in America from major corporations and sovereign wealth funds (UAE, Saudi, etc - great bedfellows lol), they shall basically force the Fed to lower rates to restart the economy after GDP growth forecasts plummet… quantitative easing will start happening again… and then we shall start seeing bilateral trade agreements signed that significantly lower the tariffs just placed on most trading partners. India - US is already being negotiated, Trump and Carney had a good call about Canada - US after our election, UK and Australia aren’t retaliating with tariffs from what I read in order to better negotiate a deal…

The only thing is, even if this is their plan, it’s a massive gamble and I don’t think they are smart or organized enough to pull it off. Everything has been too chaotic and shambolic so far.

Gerrymandering only happens at the beginning of each decade (post census) so it’s already factored in. The next cycle of this ugly game will be 2032 elections.

Man this is what you expect from an idiot like Ahmadinejad in a third world country not in the USA.

I’ve heard that Fox News are now pedalling story how that’s completely irrelavant, and people shouldn’t be bothered by it.

In the South, the Trumpers are so gung-ho about these tariffs. I'm guessing they think that they are going to get million dollar checks every month. Perhaps now all the DEI university professors and heads of departments of various hospitals are going to be deported and the average uneducated Joe with 2 teeth is going to be the chief of neurosurgery at Harvard.

The last sentence now has more than a 10% chance of happening.
