I have family in NY and Michigan but I'm not sure the I could visit without being thrown into some detention centre since I always get pulled up on my visits. Also, I'm not convinced the fucking plane would make it either. Luckily I have family in Canada so I could cross the border by car. I used to love going to the US with work, I miss those days.

I'm from the UK. When I was an academic scientist I frequently traveled for conferences. I always got interrogated, but that wasn't a big deal because I always got out. Clearly there is some sort of red flag on my passport, but by the end of the checks, it would be a calm release.

i just gave it a quick check and interestingly enough they don't expect a high inflation (iirc it was around 2%) even with the tariff insanity. i'd be surprised if that prediction was accurate

This is the biggest thing that I think the Trump people aren't realizing. Their cult leader isn't going to be around forever, and when he's gone this can all so very easily be turned around in any direction the majority in power please. Can't neuter the courts and then expect things to work when they want it to.

If there is a democracy still after trumps term is over and the Democrats win…. The president should declare a national emergency executive order and have Fox News, Brietbart and all other right wing media pundits / influencers arrested and channels taken off air Since now we know executive order under a national security threat can bypass congress and courts can be used….. use it under the threat of them being Russian assets which we all know are. They want to say but freedom of speech? Ok no problem. Allow them back on air but have them write disclaimers that come up every few minutes and also have them announce it that they are not reporting facts but opinions it’s going to ruin them every time they report something that oh btw what we are reporting isn’t the truth we just commenting on it .

This way Democrats can bypass can bypass freedom of speech bullshit right wing media hides under. Since they aren’t reporting news but spreading propaganda. Time to rule over with an iron fist since that’s only way you can defeat facists.

We will declare any church gathering an unlawful assembly because there might be pedos there. Once we round up everyone, the shit just gets burned to the ground because most of those buildings have code violations anyway. If they don’t like it, they can go pray in El Salvador.
