I did expect it tbh both are very vindictive individuals. The govt apparatus was a big hinderance to Trump's efforts to enact his policies in his first term and I'm sure musk has his axes to grind too.

While it's hard to argue govt bloat and I do personally think we could do away with a lot govt agencies, I still don't think we should run govt like we would a business. Or that we should play favorites(israel).

Take H1B for example, from a business standpoint it does make sense, you bring in a quasi slave class that is for the most past technically apt. But you fail to take into account the cultural, social, and inflationary impact of this move and how it affects native populations.

So for me, I will give trump the benefit of the doubt for now and i will judge him once the dust settles and we get a good sense of what has been accomplished. And I know that's hard to do for a neutral, considering all the vitriol and histrionics.
A lot of what you're saying makes sense and I largely agree.

A government should not be run like a business for the simple fact it's not a business. A business exists to make profit. A government exists to serve the people.

I don't truly understand why you'd give Trump the benefit of the doubt though, especially as you call him vindictive. How does that quality help the American citizen?

This is again a direct threat to annex Canada.

How are Americans letting this slide? Do you want your president to wage war on fucking Canada? Schizophrenics in the midst of psychosis would probably have better judgment.

It’s so far gone, that there is legislation introduced in Congress to ban Trump from funding a military invasion of Canada.

It’s also quite likely that half the US military would disobey any order to go kill Canadians. An order to invade Canada would likely set off a Civil War in ‘Murica. Trump is a deranged lunatic.

I’m sure his supporters here will have nothing relevant to say. Hust burying his head in the sand, Nomuken shitposting irrelevant memes, and Gordo saying Trump is playing 4D chess and we have to wait to see where the dust settles.

Man,
He'll do his best to bring Canada to its knees. All it takes is imposing sanctions on Canada.

Trump is like a 14 year old kid with keyboard, who believes writing in caps proves a point somehow.
The news media as his line are so clueless or intentionally deceitful , they are either deliberately lying or broadcasting their ignorance.

He thinks his followers will follow him in buying an electric car they spent a whole decade hating on.
But I think there’ll be a lot government purchased Teslas by the end of his presidency.
With those 50% tariffs on metals, those Teslas are going to cost a pretty penny. Trump admin collecting tariffs and then paying them right back to Tesla :lol2:
