In another episode of what it’s like living near Magas, my Republican neighbors had us over for a dinner party this evening. Thankfully, politics didn’t come up much, other than some grumblings I overhead in the kitchen (I hate that fucking rainbow flag trans people nonsense, etc). Thousands of pounds of deer meat in the freezer sort of talk by some of these folks. But the best part of the night was learning another maga dude in attendance has a Russian wife from Siberia. She is a natural health specialist like RFK Jr. and says Covid didn’t ever exist and it was all a hoax. They own hundreds of acres of land in some of the richest areas of the country. Can’t make this shit up. We are so fucked.
I've never met one of these people that weren't completely insufferable. People complain about vegans, but nothing tops these people.

Thought they might’ve offended you.

They can be trans or gay, don’t know about segregating themselves. Creating division. Like the flags. Not trying to take their rights away, just think it’s nonsense.

You shouldn’t have gone to a dinner party and politely declined. You ate their food and drank their beverages and to talk about them with distain…

Nothing wrong storing meat, specially natural grass fed meat.
Christo-fascist pedo enablers telling others how to behave. :lol2:

You guys are just as extreme as the other side you HATE. What is this the Antifa thread?

If this lonely democratic thread makes you guys feel better, I guess I see this as therapy for you guys as you yell into the void.

Till then you’ll have to suck on these balls for the next four years, maybe another four after that, if you guys learn how to focus on what really matters. Smh, freaking protecting Pedo’s, bunch of Kevin Spacey pretentious pompous sissy boys, who only have this thread of few members who actually live in “ ‘Murica”.

This guy needs to go asap. What a useless politician. Go away.
They are useless, see what they did, yet you’re blinded by too much hate from the deep state. You’ll continue to back it.

Don’t worry maga guys, just wait until the tariffs kick in. You won’t need to worry about hitting any deer.

Him agreeing with someone’s words without bias is actually admirable. Pentagon’s bloated budget is not defendable.
Disagree. Nobody should be pandering to Elon Musk. He’ll just use that to cut funding from Ukraine.

Bernie has always been a loser and needs to get out of politics for the Dems to have any chance.

I was never a fan of Antifa when they were causing violence. Just look over my posts over the years in this thread. But it’s become clear as day to me - we are entering a period of American history where fascism will be the rule. You might not realize it now since you’re on a high from your perception that you won, but you’ll regret this in the long run.

This guy has now surrounded himself with the worst of the worst scum on the far right, which makes me regret voting for him the first time, even though I probably benefited from his first term. There will be a constitutional crisis in the coming year and we need people, everyone, to reject unlawful shit that will undoubtedly happen. It’s up to you though.

By the way, fuck Biden for pardoning his dumbass son as well. Now Trump is going to pardon all of the domestic terrorists who stormed the capitol on J6, even the violent ones. I want all of these fucking families gone.

that's not how modern politics work. look at the replies with the most reactions and see what he did

he could have simply said the same stuff without the first sentence and it would have been a decent tweet

It's that "I've been ordained by God with secret knowledge to save you all from the ruling elites who hide behind 'science'" bit that makes them the most insufferable for me.

Even if we were all flat earth stooges being lead to early graves by the food pyramid, some self-delusional con artist telling us to sun our taints to cure our pancreatic cancer because "Big pharma hates the money we make" makes everything worse, not better.

Well, Sanders is right about the MIC though. As much as I think JFK was kind of a useless douche, one of the things he did right was face down what Eisenhower correctly warned everyone about: that endless war was a growth business for some people, never to be interfered with.

What makes Bernie a f'up on this is not recognizing the same Military-Industrial Complex financial- and political-influence mechanics are precisely at play with the likes of Musk, Google, etc.

From someone living in the UK, we are now seeing the results of politicians abusing the system. Conservatives left us in such bad shape financially and now Labour is going back on every policy they used, it fuels the rise of more extreme parties led by dangerous people. The lack of clarity on immigration, constant bending of their own rules particularly during COVID, and creating a bubble for their friends to benefit is leading people down the road to extreme responses.

The US is already there, UK is going that way too. Fixing such divisions is the difficult part. I can see a British equivalent of Trump coming in to shake things up, then just messing shit up for years to come.

Biden pardoning his crackhead son is slap in the face of so many who might be in jail for very minor offences. When you give people a legitimate motive to hate, they'll run with it because they share the responsibility with others. When you can somewhat justify your actions, even if you do something terrible, that ideology can become embedded and that's a problem. For example, if Hunter were to be shot today, many would celebrate and that crosses a line that shouldn't be crossed. Pardoning Capitol rioters when one person died at the scene is a dangerous idea too.

That’s Bernie’s modus operandi though. He even sponsored a bill with Josh Hawley in the peak of COVID. He would shit on them the next day of course.
Also if you like “modern” politics then yeah Bernie is not for you. He’ll be a forever minority due to his very out of mainstream (and some stupid) ideas.

it's not about me, i hate most of what happened in politics in the last decade or so, be it any element of the woke movement, the rise of the populists, the normalization of hitler, post-truth as a whole, russian misinformation campaigns, the relativisation of facts, the general lack of respect in politics, whatever

that first sentence is out of place, that's all. i wouldn't normalize elmo and his demagogic bullshit at all, even if the pentagon (and the us as a whole) have an undeniable budget issue. next thing they'll say that even the radical left support whatever they'll be up to and refer to this tweet - and in the meantime they'll simply transfer nasa's funds to spacex lol

Without first sentence it would be the same as what Bernie says all the time and nobody, including yourself, pay any attention to. Pentagon’s bloated budget and starting wars to fund Lockheeds and L3s are far bigger problem than Musk can ever be.

And that's where we are. We don't elect politicians or care about policy anymore. We basically elect social media thirst whores who can make the best savage comments.

Your tax dollars at work.

Giving all citizens free YouTube premium would have been a lot cheaper.
One of his private equity buddies is going to be the new ambassador to the UK. Curious to know if previous ambassadors had any foreign policy experience. My uneducated guess is that it's a wine and dine position with the added pressure of having a bag packed at all times when a foreign government feels like ejecting you.
