How is your "christian values" holding up? Loud mouth, god loving christian rednecks loves Trump. Should i assume this guy is a reflection of said values?
Or is it possible this whole demographic is full of shit?
So a demographic you don’t agree with is de facto full of shit, but you’re part of the right demographic, right? See the irony

I'm so glad Trump won because of those that were sure he'd lose. Epic
I'm glad he did because of the moltens of Vips crying : "If Trump wins I'll move out of US"

Now I wanna see what people like Gates,Eminem,Rihanna,Swift and whatever will keep their word or not :D
Wanna see them leaving US while crying ffs!
Sad thing is that they'll probably backtrack asap in hypocrisy :D

I can’t say I’m not disappointed. Kamala might not have been a perfect candidate, but Trump was the chaotic one, spreading misinformation and lies everywhere. Even his mass deportation plan is a scam—there’s no funding or logistical way to make it happen. He’s the kind of guy that, if you saw him on the street giving a speech, you’d probably cross to the other side.

Anyway, you get what you deserve, and I’m glad I’m not American.

If you're an American with money I can't understand why you'd ever touch politics.

Nature in the US is breathtaking. I'd just buy a place in Wyoming or something and spend every day outdoors. Fuck all the rest.

A Trump win is good news for Europe.

The American economy is sitting on a bubble. AI will change our lives significantly, but not as quickly as people expect. I bought reddit stock a couple of months ago knowing I'd make some money out of it. It has risen 150%. Reddit is mostly garbage. It's the dotcom bubble all over again. We need to untangle ourselves. Not completely, but just a little to hurt less when it inevitably bursts.

Then there's education. I've heard people say Trump won because of disinformation. Maybe. But Harris ran a particularly poor campaign. Apart from her lack of eloquence there was very little in terms of policy. When asked about more complex issues, she fumbled. This is a symptom of a much larger issue in the US: their school system is failing. We've been going backwards in Europe as well, but at a slower pace. This is a golden opportunity for us to invest and become global leaders in 10-15 years.

Finally there's the question if Europe needs to become more independent when it comes to the military. We do. And Trump pushes us in that direction. Some might say that this will hurt us financially. It won't. Nothing boosts an economy more than investing in the military. Hitler did it. The US have been doing it for decades.
Trumps foreign policy was better for us. Normalisation with Nord-Korea (who are now in Ukraine), killing Al-Baghdadi, the Abraham accords, Russia didn’t had the guts to invade Ukraine, no new wars in the Middle-East.

Besides that a positive side effect is the realisation that we shouldn’t be depended on the US might finally come. Europa has to make huge improvements on defense industry.

Trump wants to effectively wipe out the Middle East apart from Israel.

Other than that I agree. This love relationship between the US and Europe has been toxic for a while now. The US got so much from us, only on the (weak) promise of military aid when needed. This is a great opportunity to untangle ourselves and do better.

You guys are so educated yet no common sense, you guys are so lost in the sauce.
Actually I think education is a big issue in Europe. It has been steadily declining for the past 10 years or so. Just not at the rate it has declined in the US. If you had managed to read and understand my post, you would have noticed that I'm saying that investing in education right now is where Europe could leapfrog other economies.

And your reply is "you guys are so educated".

It's difficult to articulate how little you seem to grasp of written words and their meaning.

who can actually vote here? Yet you guys are so involved on this thread.
We actually have tv shows dedicated to the US election, why wouldn't we be interested to post in a thread about it? That's the nature of US politics, isn't it?

Congrats on "your" victory, btw. Hopefully it benefits you in the long run. For me, this is the only thing anyone should base their vote on, rather than cult of personality or left vs right. I understand and agree with the sentiment that modern politics is pushing more people to the right, we see this in Europe too, but if Trump is the economic saviour then that is most important to the average man. The likelihood is that Trump isn't going to realise most of what he says because he talks a lot of hyperbole and general crap, but there is an element of that with every politician. Because he is a walking caricature it gets magnified.

It's pretty unlikely that a billionaire who has grifted his entire business career and is now carrying around billions of debt with zero possibility of ever paying them back is going to be the saviour of the common man.

You don't even need to look at whatever policy he might be proposing to realise as much.

If anything Trump shows that unbridled capitalism is probably not the way to evolve as a society.
