Other than watch a man flush his family legacy down the crapper you mean?
He wants to be head of the NIH to promote his ideas that prescription drugs lead to mass shootings, that Covid-19 was genetically engineered and gives immunity to Chinese and Ahkenazi Jews, and that vaccines cause autism.
There are definitely issues around food and drug safety in the US. As there are in plenty of other countries by the way. Companies have an obvious incentive to bend the rules, but even governments don't want to withhold drugs for no apparent reason.
You don't solve such intricate issues by appointing someone who doubts the functionality of vaccines that have saved millions of lives in the span of decades.
I doubt Americans' health was ever a priority for him, its an RFK Jr. thing.
But I hear what you all are saying, with the dangers of the anti-scientific views. At least, the intention to improve the food/health/medical industries are there. I know intentions alone aren't good enough.

So why do we need to look into whether childhood vaccines cause autism? The quack science study from 25 years ago that made that claim has been debunked over and over and over again by proper peer-reviewed studies. You don’t need to be presented with better information on this, it’s readily available to anyone willing to do just a little bit of research on the subject.
What RFK Jr promotes with his vax conspiracy theories is actively harmful to people and giving his voice further legitimacy just makes that worse.

That’s fair, and I wasn’t trying to imply you do… but RFK Jr has frequently claimed vaccines cause autism and are unsafe which is an unfounded and dangerous conspiracy theory.
Yeah, like others said the man is actually insane. And if you thought Biden sounded bad, you should hear that guy speak. Though he looks better, he sounds like he's seconds from the grave.
Critical thinking is always good. There are dorks who believe every conspiracy, but at the same time people who let simple journalists decide for them about what truth is and what not are usually even bigger dorks. Both ends have been wrong numerous times.
I don't mean that he's a victim. I'm saying a big part of his appeal is being opposed by the mainstream media. If they did support him then he would appear just as any other status quo politician.
What's wrong with RFK though? (other than being pro-Israel). I'd like to see him take on the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
Just how his voice sounds. I remember I heard him for the first time in a radio interview I think it was 2 years ago and thought that this man had to be in his 90s or something.
Which numbers were you talking about though out of curiosity? He mentions a few things. Whether it's what you were referring to or not, I kinda hate when people bring up the rate of autism like that, it's so misleading imo.
I fail to believe The Netherlands would vote like that. The outcome of elections here would’ve been very different if public sentiment was that. I’d argue the same for Italy btw

On the topic we've been discussing (food, drugs, health, medicine), the scientists haven't been sciencing enough. Either that, or they've been sciencing with for the profits of corporations. So I don't think waiting for them to do their job is gonna bring changes anytime soon.
