Why don't the Demonrats then put someone sane in charge that will remove all those effed up ingredients from the food supply and such?

(we know why)
There are definitely issues around food and drug safety in the US. As there are in plenty of other countries by the way. Companies have an obvious incentive to bend the rules, but even governments don't want to withhold drugs for no apparent reason.

You don't solve such intricate issues by appointing someone who doubts the functionality of vaccines that have saved millions of lives in the span of decades.

I have no idea, I'm not familiar with what's in the foods of Americans. I know only of the water scandal in Flint some years ago, that was fucked up.

Trump was president four years ago. Just sayin'...
I doubt Americans' health was ever a priority for him, its an RFK Jr. thing.

But I hear what you all are saying, with the dangers of the anti-scientific views. At least, the intention to improve the food/health/medical industries are there. I know intentions alone aren't good enough.

Never underestimate the number of people who derive their value in believing they have secret knowledge that the sheep of the masses do not have.

There are those, and then are some conspiracy minded people who are suspicious of authorities and institutions.

I may fall into the latter category sometimes :shifty: But I like to think I'm open to changing my views when presented with better information

Simping for RFK Jr? Yikes.

New slogan with RFK Jr as Murica’s health czar:

MPGA (Make Polio Great Again)

So why do we need to look into whether childhood vaccines cause autism? The quack science study from 25 years ago that made that claim has been debunked over and over and over again by proper peer-reviewed studies. You don’t need to be presented with better information on this, it’s readily available to anyone willing to do just a little bit of research on the subject.

What RFK Jr promotes with his vax conspiracy theories is actively harmful to people and giving his voice further legitimacy just makes that worse.

Critical thinking is always good. There are dorks who believe every conspiracy, but at the same time people who let simple journalists decide for them about what truth is and what not are usually even bigger dorks. Both ends have been wrong numerous times.

I don't mean that he's a victim. I'm saying a big part of his appeal is being opposed by the mainstream media. If they did support him then he would appear just as any other status quo politician.

What's wrong with RFK though? :shifty: (other than being pro-Israel). I'd like to see him take on the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
Because he’s an incompetent buffoon. Leave science to the scientists.

Are you referring to his voice specifically, or the content that he is speaking about?

If those numbers are right they are shocking though
Just how his voice sounds. I remember I heard him for the first time in a radio interview I think it was 2 years ago and thought that this man had to be in his 90s or something.

Which numbers were you talking about though out of curiosity? He mentions a few things. Whether it's what you were referring to or not, I kinda hate when people bring up the rate of autism like that, it's so misleading imo.

Tell me you got into conspiracies because of the Zeitgeist series

On the topic we've been discussing (food, drugs, health, medicine), the scientists haven't been sciencing enough. Either that, or they've been sciencing with for the profits of corporations. So I don't think waiting for them to do their job is gonna bring changes anytime soon.

I fail to believe The Netherlands would vote like that. The outcome of elections here would’ve been very different if public sentiment was that. I’d argue the same for Italy btw
Could have a lot do with the Russia-Ukraine war, no?

Yeah it’s not nice to hear, but since it’s something medical not fair to judge it either.

He's not going to ban vaccines. He wants an investigation into them and whether there's any link with autism and other disorders. Now that may be anti-scientific BS... or not, but there's no harm in looking into it. And he wants to end protection against liability for the vaccine manufacturers if they do cause harm.

And according to his website: "He will ban the hundreds of food additives and chemicals that other countries have already prohibited. He will change regulations, research topics, and subsidies to reduce the dominance of ultra-processed food. He will clean up toxic chemicals from our air, water, and soil. He will ensure that research into pharmaceutical drugs, pesticides, additives, and environmental chemicals is scientifically unbiased."

That is something everyone can get behind, surely?

Where's the bad part of that video?
The bullshit “vaccines cause autism” claim was debunked years and years ago.
