Who? DeSantis?
The primary is his to lose imo.
The general election is another matter entirely.
After the shit Trump said about him he kinda has to or he looks like even more of a spineless coward.
Who knows what happens tomorrow but De Santis is certainly planning to do it right now

Important to remember that in 2006 most of America had never heard of Obama and in 2014 Donald Trump was an obnoxious celebrity
I guess I just don't really know how "unified" the Republican party is on this right now. Yes we saw the midterm results, but independents don't get you through the primaries and Trump is still very popular with some people. I'm just wondering if there's the possibility that now that Trump has already announced it, that there's some deal behind the scenes to not have him run and possibly split the base. Sort of like during the 2020 Democratic primary where most of the moderates dropped out and endorsed Biden somewhat early.

It’s a different story when you get out of your comfort zone and end up on the stage in front of the bright lights. So many hyped up rockstar candidates flame out in the primaries. Especially on the Republican side. So from my perspective, it’s Trumps primary until it isn’t.

Also important for RDS that nobody else runs so that he can get all anti-Trump vote. I think that’s why Trump is kind of getting under other possible candidates like Youngkin.

If elections were held today i don't think Trump gets elected as things stand, he's banking on this admin to have a monumental fuck up which let's be honest is very likely. The ideal scenario imk would be de santis running and trump endorsing him.

Trump will never do that. The guy who effectively pushed him out/ stole his thunder? Trump will be throwing fits about that until the day he dies
