The theory that the regular news wouldn't cover this story.
How can you say on one hand the US looks like a wicked place to live any way you slice it, then on the other say these are very small pockets of violence that aren't wide spread? I don't remember if it was you that said it or someone else.
There is the problem that what's the most extreme will get the most attention and then cloud the impression of what is a general habit.
This is part of why the black community has a zero tolerance policy now on any police interactions with the public that look suspect, even if they were responding to a mugger or would-be assassin.
But the kind of tit-for-tat viciousness that comes up in the US you just don't really see here. With the exception of the Camorra and Romanian gang lords, you just don't have stories in Europe that cover the weekly if not daily cadence of police abuses and execution-style attempted murders. And they have just as many mobile phones here and certainly a greater population than the U.S. And some countries have more guns while others do not. But the drumbeat of police abuses and execution-style reactive killings doesn't have an equivalent here. There is at least a relative sense that your risk of being gunned down on the streets is ridiculously higher in the US.
Black mothers educating their children about how to keep their hands up and walk the street as to not draw undue attention from the cops combined with cops who legitimately worry that they or their partner is going to be executed in an ambush, a domestic dispute, let alone a standard highway pull-over. These are not stories that are part of the fabric of life here, which leaves that impression of viciousness and callous disregard for human lives in general.
Lol rush Limbaugh is such an idiot

“Why do you think this is COVID-19?” he said. "This is the 19th coronavirus. They’re not uncommon.”
The Washington Post reported Limbaugh’s factual error Thursday, noting that the virus’ name is short for Coronavirus Disease 2019, which is the year it was identified.
According to The Post, Limbaugh also struggled to wrap his brain around the word “lethal” during his Wednesday rant.
“What does lethal mean?” he demanded. “Does lethal kill you? Does lethal infect you? Does lethal give you a temperature of 102 versus 100?”
As the Post simply put it: “Lethal kills you.”
Last month, Limbaugh, a cigar enthusiast who has questioned the dangers of smoking, announced he was battling advanced lung cancer.
Hey, Kellyanne Conway said, "This is COVID-19, not COVID-1", folks.
When we all know COVID-1 is Trump's rebranding of Air Force One.
