But I don't follow your last point. Why wouldn't you expect mass migration to increase? People are more aware of the rest of the world than ever. They can look at the crap in their backyards and peek over fences more than ever. The Internet is global. The workforce is now more global than ever. Opportunity drove continental migration in America, Africa, etc.

Global tourism is as great as ever.

At the other end of the spectrum, we're seeing the rise of participatory citizenship: highly desirable workers where national governments need to compete for their residency and economic output more and more.
Because tourism and mass migration are very different things. People who have it good don't consider migration. No one wants to leave friends and family just because.

The ability to communicate fast and with very little cost should allow us to use resources on a global scale and improve the lives of all instead of the lucky few.

Do you listen to Conservative talk radio? They do, might not be what you all would like them to bring up but they certainly do bring their fair share (lol) of criticism.
all the time and they rarely criticize their politicians on anything of substance, much like their liberal counterparts
