Early look at the aftermath of riots in Minneapolis. Business owners packing up shop (what's left of it) and taking their business (and jobs) out of the city.

Meanwhile, Mayor Frey is going to consult the ones who burnt the city down on how they want to rebuild it. :baus:

She's pissed they won't allow the store to be looted. :howler:

So much wrong on this video. IMAGINE how quickly this video would be taken off YouTube/twitter if it was a white guy/girl yellowing at minorities protecting their store...

In other news:

Tuesday (Today) Senate will confirm the new Air Force Chief of Staff..Gen. Charles Brown. First African-American to be chief of staff over any military branch in our history. Becoming a 1-star is damn near impossible, to sit over an entire military branch is an achievement not many make. This guy is a boss, all around phenomenal leader and I wish him the best. The Air Force will be in good hands.

Stick to growing peppers...

I’ll stick to pomegranates
Speaking of growing: I tell you we put in a combo 4-kind cherry tree, persimmon tree, combo 4-kind pear tree and a fig tree all around our yard? LOL we literally have more people walking around our house looking than ever before.

Greenhouse arrived today, but I can't build it until the builders finish our backyard patio

Today we had an international company meeting where we announced our efforts to root out anti-black racism. In general, I see that as a good thing.

But one white guy said in the Q&A that he'd not only become aware of anti-black violence but also many other minorities who have been abused and killed, including a recent case where some immigration officers in the country murdered a (non-black) immigrant. So he asked a basic question about how we could help raise awareness and help educate ourselves, etc.

Then in a follow-up all-hands Slack channel for the meeting, another white guy called out that guy for unconscious racism -- because he mentioned the murder and discrimination against some minorities who weren't black. And then a bunch of people jumped on the white guy wearing the hairshirt and thanked him and kissed his ass.

No, seriously.

I swear, if there was ever a good time to kill Latinx's and trans people, now would be it. People would be called out for trying to change the subject.

It doesn't. But it's legitimized as an analog to the clueless white person thing to say "all lives matter". Since black people have the floor, there will be no talk of any other forms of racism until further notice. Everyone will have to wait their turn as all discussion must first be fully intersectionalized and then addressed serially, one segmentation at a time.

What's funny was the original white guy introduced those other stories not to distract from anti-blackness but instead he was being kind of a woke performative douche. Funny he got called out for something entirely different.
