Exactly. That's your reaction every time: pretending that everything is obvious while your examples and explanations don't make sense, and are confusing at best. I stop short of calling them fallacies so that you don't get offended.
That falls in line with every religious person I know.
Hey, you asked me some provocative questions with hardly the best intentions and I tried to respond to the best of my ability, I wouldnt complain in your place

Look, I really don't get your thin line. I really wanna get what religious people see as offensive, and why. I didn't want to provoke you. You keep making confusing statements and consider them obvious. They are not.

Yes, I had a Catholic upbringing.

We made shitty choices? Are you referring to original sin by Adam and Eve?

I was taught that we were all born with original sin, but never that we were bad people and deserved hell. And that baptism cleansed you of the sin.

But nowadays the Catholic Church says you won't go to hell if you're not Catholic or even Christian, once you live a life pleasing to God.
Yeah, that and countless others made afterwards. Sin equals being "bad" and deserving hell, we all got it. Baptism is a one time symbolic thing, you continue to sin afterwards, the only way is through believing and accepting the sacrifice of Christ, or the short version - John 14:6.

I dislike the Catholic church traditions, arrogance and leaders a lot, try to avoid them as much as possible

Shit, so burning in eternal fire for like lying to your mom about missing school and minor sins like that? Doesn't really seem fair or loving coming from the merciful God. You're only good to go if you accept Jesus and live like friggin Buddha?

Seems impossible to avoid hell. I mean, do you think you're capable of that?

And what if you never had a chance to learn about Jesus? Still hell for you?

Honestly, I was talking about what is a personal attack on someones faith and what is not, not what religious people find offenive, probably all sorts of things :D

Interesting question, we've have plenty of people that haven't been in touch with the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, they are doomed thru ignorance. But why haven't god made sure, they came into contact with the teachings of Jesus? And what about the millions of people born before both Jesus and the abrahamic god?

The last one is quite a theological pickle, I dont think Im equipped to answer and even if I was, I dont think its something you could understand without deeper knowledge of Bible.

And no, you dont have to live like Buddha, whatever that means :D You have to stay sharp in your faith and do your best in following the commands like live justly, love mercy and walk humbly, spread the gospel etc

Fair demands. But how can such things be expected of bad people who deserve hell?

It's surely not merciful to bring people into the world with no chance of salvation and then send them to hell for it.

As far as I'm concerned God, Holy Spirit, Christ and Bible are the things essential in Christianity, Catholic Church or any other denomination is not

I have no problem with God, I'm not even atheist.

Just trying to understand what seem like contradictions in your thinking

Nah, you're just asking the wrong questions. Since you're not an atheist, you can imagine for a minute that God is real, right? There are ~7.5 billion people living right now and no idea how many have lived in the entire history before us and how many will after us. Take into account the whole universe we've little idea about, but we know that we're only a very very small part of.

Don't you think it's silly of you, a tiny person in the grand scheme of things, to try and attempt to judge Gods fairness, while knowing that you can understand probably less than 0.01% of his creation or how he operates? I won't be able to answer your every existential question, I don't think any man has all the answers. To quote Isiah (and I acknowledge that too many have done this :D), For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways

Wait, what?

So God created us as bad people and has doomed us to eternal torment (unless we turn to him for salvation)?
Yeah, dude's a pretty vain motherfucker.

Yes you can. That’s like saying you can’t separate the opinion pieces in a paper from the reporting pieces. They’re two separate things. One comes from a place of facts and the other from opinion.

You seem to have missed this post, so I want to give you an extra chance to reply:

Media has to have facts, but Trump, his staff, and his surrogates, they're allowed to spew whatever BS, alternative facts, and lies they want to, and it's just fine and dandy. :baus:

Lol wrong word. No trap man. People elected trump because he wasn’t those things. Wasn’t like the political class. You guys who don’t support him don’t get it

I'm not like the American political class either. Fuck, I'm not even American. I'm guessing I must be extremely qualified for the job of POTUS.

When something good happens ‘Praise be to the Lord Jesus’
When something tragic happens ‘God works in mysterious ways’

Also it seems highly contradictory that you acknowledge that we are inconsequential specks of dust in the cosmos, but God sent his son on this One planet (out of a trillion) to personally give humans a chance at salvation. That doesn’t seem humble at all.
