It was bad reporting, but certainly not a lie. She did tweet that (Remember the first line of the song - which is "and now, the end is near"). And then she deleted it after the CNN article. CNN interpreted it stupidly, instead of as the joke it was, and she called them out on it... but they certainly didn't make up the tweet.

Sinatra herself lied by saying she didn't say that.

I don't agree with you that he will get impeached... at least not very quickly. At the same time as the political climate doesn't allow this two-bit con man to become a real dictator, it does allow for a two-bit con man to get through four years without much trouble, especially with the absurd partisanship, the two sides so irrationally entrenched as @Osman put it.

The problem in the US is that even trying to report things objectively will make you look like you're biased. Some of the shit Republicans say is batshit crazy. A lot of what Trump is saying is crazy. Even just filming Trump would make you look like you're trying to gun him down, because you're making him look crazy by recording him on tape.

if I understand this correctly, at moment evolution is taught in American schools as the absolute truth and people are upset that after this change children might be presented with several theories? what's wrong with that? most of the population is Christian or close to it which means that sooner or later the children anyways will read the Bible version

The problem is that only the theory of evolution is based in science. As our understanding about evolution itself constantly evolves, I have no problem with being critical. But presenting alternative theories that have no basis in reality whatsoever and are purely figments of imagination as equally valid is problematic. If people think intelligent design is just as good a theory as the theory of evolution, it is likely that people will dismiss science in other fields of their life too.

Intelligent design is not a theory,it's pseudoscience that has no basis in reality.It's not even a sound hypothesis because it's not falsifiable.
It's really shocking that intelligent design is still a thing in a first wold country like the U.S.

He's president of the country, a democracy (however ineffectual at times) no less, that is the leader of the free world. And America is not in the disastrous situation Germany was in post-World War II. I don't get why people think Trump is so much more harmless. He's using a lot of the same rhetoric, has the same ideas about politics and even has similar physical oddities.
