You are expecting me to get "eaten alive" while knowing nothing on how project engineers work.

Its completely fine if you dont. But then dont tell me i'd get eaten alive. I'd invite you to the international status meeting calls. Those are mad fun. last week they managed to put the blame on someone and he got fired on the spot.

American companies are lovely
I don't know about engineers. But I know about the law profession and I know about you. A client like you is my personal nightmare, because he'd fuck up his own case thinking he knows best.

Like saying you're hooked on ephedrine because you think it makes you look cooler than saying you like coffee.

I'm thinking that Sean Spicer will be the first one in this administration to throw his hands up and say "Fuck this. I quit."

He looks extremely uncomfortable up there on the podium

Did that with Obama utterly and completely too. Went from ardent fan to an incredibly passionate Obama hater.

But I dont not believe it will happen with Trump, the hate part I mean, but he will say he didnt really support him at the end of the day, only didnt want Hillary etc.

That's nothing wrong with Andy liking Obama initially and then changing his opinion once he spent more time in office. Just because he liked him in the beginning doesn't mean he has to like him forever. A lot of people were disappointed by Obama.
Ofcourse, but it happend incredibly quickly, and engaging him at the time, it was like he never ever supported/like Obama in any way.
It was pretty clear with Obama that he wasn't going to do what he campaigned on, simply by whom he appointed and observing his first few months. He campaigned on bringing jobs back to the middle class, prosecuting criminals on Wall Street, and having the most transparent administration in history. Lo and behold, he accomplished none of that. So why am I at fault for turning on him? Wouldn't it make less sense to support him now just because I voted for him initially? There is a big issue in this country with blindly supporting politicians, especially under Obama. I'm sure the same will happen under Trump if he's a complete disaster.

The biggest problem with guys like Andy and Zach is that they are upper middle class white guys, who rely on rich neocon white guys for information and opinions on minorities. The links they post, the opinions they share, are almost exclusively informed by rich white men who have absolutely no connection at all to or understanding of these communities.

And whether the MSM has its problems with manipulation and bias (it does), it gives a voice to the leaders of the African American community, to the leaders of the Muslim American community and so on... and those voices are of value and should be listened to and given far more weight when formulating opinions on those specific communities.

Instead, we have buffoons, thinking they know "the facts" because of some propaganda they read from a neocon think tank. It's gross. It's dishonest. And they should be utterly ashamed of themselves for being that gullible and disrespectful of these communities and the issues facing them.
What Neo-Con think-tank?

The problem we face is that everyone has an agenda. Whether the opinions come the left, right, or center, there is inherent bias. I'm all for listening to the concerns of African American or Muslim communities, but please remember Al Sharpton does not speak for all of the black community, just like BLM. At the end of the day, the most important concern of mine is economics, which naturally tends to shape our futures. I'm not a fan of perpetually throwing money into a system that doesn't work -- even 8 years after having a black President and tons of money thrown at urban problems, the majority of the problems still exist (i.e. poverty, crime, et cetera). At some point, the burden of changing your future must come from within.

To be fair to Andy, he receives parts of his information from coal miners in West Virginia.
Good one.

Andy should've played the lead role in 'The Lady Vanishes'.
Sounds like fun. Thanks for thinking of me.

I for one enjoyed this small excursion on the relative merits of different Belgium university degrees.

But back to the topic, I'm actually curious how/if all of this mess is impacting Trump's popularity among his voters. To all our US fellows here, what do the Trump voters you know think about this? What do you think about this @Bjerknes?

Or besides this anecdotal evidence, does anyone know some credible news reports on that?

Hahaha this is actually pretty cool

I mean it's not anything that makes him any better at the job he's doing and is an entirely worthless gesture, but...

I see people talk about Trump here way more than in actual life. So it's hard to tell.

I follow a fair amount of instagram feeds from various reps, and they are nearly all pretty positive, except some libertarian ones, but they arent criticising either.

I dont think a single person under 30 is ever voting McCain again, considering the reactions.

Which adds to a point i previously made. Not a single rep that wants to be re-elected is going to obstruct Trump anytime soon. He's ridiculously popular amongs most reps.

- McCain gave some fair criticism about the visa ban, and he gets slaughtered everywhere
- Ted Cruz went from beeing close to Trump in the preliminaries to absolutely shot off the list after he attacked him and Trump killed him.

- - - Updated - - -

Edit : Which was Cruz own fault cause he made an incredibly idiotic statement regarding New York

Thanks

That seems to be his base though? And they are the ones that are indeed gonna make things difficult for any Rep stepping out of line, kinda like teh Tea Party but more hardcore (and there are probably stark differences depending on which state/seat we're talking about)

However, those aren't the majority of the people that voted for him.
