Actually, most people who get a law degree end up doing something else because 1) they can't find a job in law or 2) aren't capable lawyers. Law school doesn't even make you a lawyer, real life experience does.

But that's besides the point. I'm not arguing that you didn't study hard to get a fancy degree, you probably did.

I'm having to defend the status of my projects every week to my lead engineer and every2/3 weeks against american superiors who'd love to cut funding of R&D testing and release shit early. i build my defence on results and logic and a bit of lobbying.

Actually lawyers lie much less than you'd expect. Especially in Belgium where (and this demonstrates your lack of knowledge) most cases go to court and no arrangements are made. If you get caught lying that makes you look bad. So lawyers, at least in Belgium, rarely do.
