Those ads are one of the weirdest things about this election, they're supposed to be attack ads against Trump - but they basically just take the best and most reasonable statements of him.

I'd guess that apart from 30% of clearly Republican leaning US Americans, this ad made him appear much more likeable and qualified to everyone around the world. Of course those 30% were exactly the target group seeing that it's a Republican primary, but it's still weird.

Don't try to understand American political ads. If you'd air them in Europe, they'd definitely have the opposite effect. Our culture is heavily Americanized through TV, movies and music, but this is one of those things where there is a very real difference.

In this case it's mostly about differences in terms of political values than style or presentation, but I agree.
