He makes less sense than he thinks he makes

But anyway Bernie’s nomination is gaining momentum. The only thing he should worry about is a brokered convention

For one, it goes to show that money buys elections. That's literally his entire strategy. Spending hundreds of millions of dollars on ads and hiring members who work for other candidates. The DNC broke its own rules to allow Bloomberg in the debates. (although I think this will backfire because Bloomberg will get eaten alive in the debate).
Also, he has a deeply troubling history of racism when he was mayor of New York.
Policy wise, no one knows what he will do because he was a Republican until very recently. The only thing you can say about him is he is strongly pro-choice and pro gun regulations.
Policy wise it's very clear what he'll do. He's running to save himself and fellow billionaires money.

I'll be voting for Bernie but question: Are the awkwardness and beta maleness among white central euro and Nordic males and the neutral expression on their faces a result of democratic socialism or something else?

Didn't watch the debate at all, anything of note happen?
Few people watch the debate, so what matters is not what really happened but what the media says happened. The general consensus is that Biden had a good night. Everybody attacked Sanders and pretty much left Bloomberg alone this time, who had a better night than last time. But it was hard for him to have a worst night.

whats wrong with Bernie in your opinion
One thing I like about Bernie is that he describes himself as a socialist. Most American socialists don't, instead calling themselves "progressives" or "liberals".

However, in Bernie's case socialist isn't accurate either. When you listen to him for a while you notice that all that talk about "class", "working class" and "struggle", makes him soung a lot more like a classic communist than a "democratic socialist".

So, if that's your cup of tea, than I guess there is nothing wrong with him.
