Great little poll piece here: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/trump-isnt-teflon/

- - - Updated - - -

"...Hillary Clinton meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty..."

A direct quote from Donald Trump today. No wonder his imbecilic supporters are talking about revolution.
Trump's trying to create a dolchstosslegende. Hugely problematic.

We even have retards here believing in this Trump-bullshit.

Between asking supporters to go monitor polling stations in "certain" (ie. African American) neighbourhoods, claiming there is a global conspiracy against him because he wants to MAGA, claiming the election is being stolen and the only way he can lose is if it is rigged, claiming that the Clinton's have perpetrated the biggest cover-up in the history of the world, etc... He really is.

There is going to be violence surrounding the outcome of this election, possibly even on election day. And the blame for this should rest solely on The Donald's shoulders for his fear-mongering and paranoid rhetoric.

Conspiracy theories are the easiest way to get votes in contemporary politics. It's done basically everywhere. All you need to do is convince people that some "outside" evil power tries to destroy your country with help from the inside. Of course the "inside" just so happens to be your main political adversary.

At the end of the day, Hillary will undoubtedly win the election. The question is, if she makes mistakes on domestic or foreign policy, will her supporters actually criticize her for it, or will they defend her relentlessly as the first female President? My guess is the latter as Americans seem to equate politics with some sort of sporting event. Now that everyone has their "team," they'll support them to the death regardless of reason. Perhaps this year will be different since Hillary is rather unpopular, but then again a vote to some is like a covenant.
Hmm, large parts of the democratic party (the base at least) has been extremely critical of Hillary during the Primaries, it's just that now all those criticisms are held back due to the focus on the common enemy - I don't doubt that those same people will go back to criticizing Hillary a few months after the election again.

Although that then will probably go back once the next elections roll around

yeah it's fucked up. Congress has approval ratings around 15% and yet 90% of its members are reelected in every cycle.
Have you seen this? (hope you can watch it outside on the US)

Very good article. But I don't know if you saw the link I posted a few days ago. It says the median household income of a Trump primary voter was ~72k. It kind of is in contrast with point #3.

I think I even saw that one back when it was originally aired :D Might even have been the place where I heard of gerrymandering for the first time.

And damn Stewart really was so much better than Trevor Noah...

True, that doesn't quite fit in.

New York has to have possibly the dumbest voter registration process in the country. It's 2016 and yet to change my party I have to go physically hand in a form. What is this, 1912? And it has to be 25 days before the election, because of reasons I suppose.

I'm truely disgusted by this election

Amerika has to tackle great problems like their economy and afro-american trouble amongst many others.

Do they talk about that ? Barely.

"i got elected cause my opponent says dirty male talk about women in his private room"

"i got elected cause my opponent's husband cant keep it in his pants"

Don't vote on Hillary. She's married to a sexual predator.

Vote Trump.

Come on. Might disagree with Hillary - I for sure do - but it's getting pathetic when what seems like people of average intelligence like Zoso keeps defending Trump.

Obama's wife should run for presidency.
She's black and female. Strong women who inspires many.
She'll get elected on those things alone

And that would be fantastic. She can pick her agenda any way she sees fit. She doesnt need to cherrypick or obe lobbygroups.

She could pick exactly what a democrat thinks america needs. Without beeing bound by promises. And seriously, if the best candidate the republicans had was trump, who the fuck is going to even put a dent in her campaing ?

I really hope Michelle will run for president one day, and show just how much better America can do then femnazi cuttroat bitch.

Except that Michelle has 3 times more spine as obama and doesnt need to please lobby groups to get elected.

Every democrat, female, afro-american, and person with above 5 braincells will vote for this women.
She also completely defys all the stereotypes that a succesfull woman in politics or corporate life has to be a shark of an old hag that isnt remotely femine anymore.

She's a powerful human being for sure. iirc she was the one behind Obamacare. And I respect her work on obese children. We need to focus more on our nation and our bad habits. Who gives a fuck about Afghanistan when we're raising a generation of brain dead, fat scumbags that are too lazy to care for themselves?

I wanted to know how people in USA see this elections going
If I look at the news it seems close but I only see people saying Trump is an idiot laughing that a guy like him is even running...
Is it really that close? how do you see it (talking to USA juventinos of course)
