Young Harvard educated civil right lawyer who's been in politics for a long time. From character standpoint He's pretty much like Obama but he's white and has been more of an insider than Obama was. In an election which the main tone is anti establishment this is a bad choice. I preferred Warren or Castro

Based on your description, i think it is a good choice, anti establishment people will never vote for Clinton no matter the vp picked, no one can get over the name, it's as royalty as it can get. Clinton needs to play the experience card, and her insider status to get things done as opposed to Trump who cant even get other conservatives on board.

She could try harder for some of the Sanders people, but decided not to. She will have a hard time winning without them. I think it's going to be a nail biter

I think she will easily win, i think it will be harder for repubs to vote for trump than it will be for dems yo vote for her, we might just have record low turnout this year

That's exactly the problem. Castro and especially Warren would have outshined Clinton. You don't want your VP to run with the attention.

I think it's a good choice. A safe pick that Clinton knows well and apparently they have a strong professional relationship.

But that said; things are different this tiem around and if Clinton thinks she just have to do the usual and run a campaign on being the 'safe pick', I think the election might become closer than comfortable.

'cause holy moly Trump is problematic. Latent dictator in his rhetoric and thinking. Me, me, me. I, I, I.

Dude, talks about fighting crime as if it's something the President is responsible for. How many police departments are there in 'murica? Around 18.000

That's my point. Safe picks would make it very hard this time. And Tim Kaine is as safe as she could go. Tim Kaine was even considered for Obama's VP before he chose Biden. He's a textbook definition of a safe VP pick.
Warren might be a larger personality than Clinton, but Castro is sure not. He is only 41 and has not been elected to any statewide or nationwide office.

Kaine is pro-Israel and a proponent of military intervention in Syria, he's very similar to Clinton and I agree with those who say Clinton's choice suggests she is so confident of winning the elections she doesn't think she has to be appealing to Sanders' supporters some of whom are stupid enough to consider voting Trump now that Bernie's out.

It may seem that way from the media but the average person on the ground in the restaurant( in leftist NJ) are all in for trump.
