Yup, the party of de-regulation going to bring regulation lol
It happens anyway, so might as well make it good. I'll take that over unnecessary coerced injections.

Seriously though. Banning seed oils is unlikely, but proper research into the health effects of consumption, and educating the public will be a massive win for everyone.

Well, here we go. Prove me wrong for all of our sakes.

I think that is the biggest factor. It all moved too far left appeasing a small minority of people thus the democrats and their equivalents in other counties have lost many of the every man voters.
Why do you guys keep saying this? This election has probably been the least about identity politics that I've seen in a long time. In fact, I barely can recall it being mentioned at all.

There's plenty of research on seed oils though. The problem is that the research does not confirm your assumption (and I don't mean you specifically, because I love a white man who talks like Chris Gayle), so the research must be funded by big oil or big pharma or whatever (which it may or may not be). The bogeyman of one thing bad and needs to be studied/removed/banned is myopic if you are looking at diets or healthcare in general. We should definitely reduce consumption of any ultra processed food and replace it with whole foods wherever possible. Also, reduce consumption in general. However, the way our modern economy is set up, overconsumption is the beast that needs to be fed and food that are cheaper to produce, lasts donkeys years and can generate the most profit wins. The point I think I'm trying to make is that if anything needs regulation, it's capitalism the way it's set up currently or something to that effect I guess :boh:

Anybody who looks for a Holy Grail to explain health troubles with a single ingredient is clueless in my book. Hands down. Non-starter. That's a feeble brain that cannot fathom the complexity in nature.

It's no wonder that Fox News keeps publishing stories about how this one food item or that food item will help you live to 100, when that's just reductionist nutritionism.

Health is and remains a varied diet in balance, and nutrition and health are not the same. You could eat nothing but kale but you would die of malnutrition.

Do muricans get pissed off by the Eurocucks' higher quality of life funded by murica's military spending?
Not pissed off, but it's genuinely depressing. My brother, a first responder, is fully insured. He just got a bill for a few thousand dollars for a colonoscopy because the insurance company refused to pay for it for some reason, hopefully he can appeal it. My mother is insured through my Dad who is a sort of law enforcement officer with the state, but I'm worried about whether any necessary immune system treatment will be covered. She has been sick this whole week throwing up, just had to go to the hospital yesterday already for severe dehydration after auditory and visual hallucinations the night before.

If really required, I guess we could work out some way to have her "divorce" my Dad and get on Medicaid but this shit is so overwhelming and we've now had probably the worst case scenario in terms of election results on top of it for this. With Kamala at least it would've not gotten worse, but now this group of retards? Who knows man.

Bathrooms and movies though, that's the real issues we should elect people on.

Another American story: divorce because of health care costs.
You can’t make this up.

I met a biotech entrepreneur living in the election-famed Bethlehem, PA last year who would have retired at 62. But instead he is holding on until qualifying for Medicare at 65 entirely for access to an employer-paid health care plan.

You can't make this up.

My somewhat sober take - once again, the biggest issue is the economy. That's basically all that matters now in elections. Despite the fact Trump's economic plans don't make any sense to any reasonably educated person, it doesn't matter. The Dems have literally nothing to offer with respect to the economy and they still haven't learned from their mistakes. This is Murica, we aren't Denmark and never will be. People want low taxes and less regulation. The majority also rejects living off of the government, such that social programs aren't making any impact to voters any longer. So what the Dems need to do is actually have a real economic plan based on the individual instead of the government in the future. I doubt they will learn.

As far as personal freedoms go, everything is out the window. I expect a lot of rights to be taken away in the next four years, with increased hate rhetoric to already marginalized groups. I will be standing by my LGBTQ+ friends no matter what, and hopefully they become armed to protect themselves.

It's just a hypothetical, I'm trying to think of all options just in case.

I don't think any conclusions can be drawn until we see the total vote count. If he didn't get more votes than in 2020 I'm putting it down to Democrats attempting to be Republican-lite and appeal to them instead of actually having policies that would attract more left or centrist voters.

But Americans are happy, because Trump will make great movies.
Don't knock Trump vibes.

Illegals could still be pouring over the border and murdering people (as they did under his first term), Americans could be dying deaths of despair in record numbers, and the affordability crisis continues to grow worse at the hands of ever-richer oligarchs.

But as long as Trump is the president everything will be great again.

Honestly I feel so depressed today and yet I don't even live in the U.S I really fear for the years ahead, an unhinged and deranged fool who thinks tarrifs will save America is deluded.

So my Trump neighbors took down their signs and just put up an "Always Be Kind" sign.

So we literally weren't kind to anyone other than ourselves for like 4 years. But now that the election is over with we can all be kind to each other again????
