You are right, he was shot in the head, not in the face. However, it is highly unlikely anyone would stage getting shot in the head to get more votes. The risk is far to great. Centimetar left/right, move a head a bit and its over. Was he bleeding before falling to the floor or blood appeared after he stood up? From all the places you can get shot, it is safe to say you never want to get shot in the head.
