Free speech is never unlimited, theres always things that overrule it. Imo its fucked up that someone tracks Musk, makes it public, blackmails him and somehow for some Musk is still in the wrong for banning that acc

Dissemination of public info with malicious intent that leads to harm is illegal.

There's a huge gap between voicing opinion, no matter how reprehensible, and stoking mobs to harass and attack people we disagree with.
who says the guy posting the flight tracker had malicious intent?

At the end of the day, it’s Elon’s company so he can do what he wants but he does come across as very goofy with these bans.

Still doesnt excuse the behavior. I personally dont believe anyone should be a billionaire, imo its not healthy or fair in a society, but on this case Im definitely on Musks side.

Stalking, doxxing and blackmailing is wrong.
I agree but I don’t think the guy who posted the flight tracker was doing any of the things you listed.

The same way they go through someone's online profile to determine motive for any crime

he says they doxxed him but I don’t actually think any doxxing took place
"dissemination/didclosure of personally identifying information."

I think it is doxxing, because it is information on the personal whereabouts of Musk. And yes, it is true that flight information is public, but that doesn't mean everyone is able to distill that information and know which flight Musk is on.

The funny part is that Musk was on a personal crusade for absolute freedom of speech and he has now had to come back on that immediately.

The guy is a great salesman, but he's not the visionary he believes himself to be. In fact he's an idiot in many many many things. If mankind follows him around as the new Messiah, we will probably cease to exist within the next 5 years.

How could he not have malicious intent? There is nothing good that could come from it and his specific aim was to expose a person, who did not want to be exposed.

When he said he was a "free speech absolutist" I didn't think he would make it that you can write tweets threatening to kill your ex-wife for being a money grubbing whore. Obviously there are limits, at least to me.
Well, that's awesome that you were intelligent about it. But Elon Musk was not. And someone wanted to show him why he wasn't.
