The article says that call happened after the insurrection, which is very very understandable
wat?

regardless of the insurrection, #45 was still POTUS and Milley was his subordinate. Civilian control of the military - not military control of the military. Milley fucked up if that is true. Trump was not going to start a nuclear war.

To have your TOP RANKED military member stab his own President in the back to call CHINA to warn them of something that isn't going to happen and take their side because your boss ruffles your feathers...wow.

You honestly can't fuck up any more than that as a member of the military, especially when wearing the uniform.

Stay away from that 23 and Me.
Or as I call them, 23andMeh

I don't believe it for a second. So much fear mongering after the stupid rush of Q's to the Feds and nothing happened.
Yes, it would be better if something did.

At least with 9/11 we got Todd and Timmy's severed heads for the trouble.

Imagine voting for Biden.

He could start a nuclear war simply by confusing his iPad for the nuclear football.
On that topic, I do snicker at some of the interrogation going on with Blinkin. Most of Capitol Hill can't read an email without one of their cabana boys interns printing it out, and most don't know how Facebook makes money.

But suddenly they're asking questions like Biden has his mouse-click hovering on Amazon's new Drone-Death-as-a-Service as part of his Prime membership, and so why the dead aid worker.

I thought we were all millennials?
Only when being ironic.

Yeah, but Trump and the military? Trump flunked Dictator 101, which says you need to make good with the military because they will roll the tanks over the opposing citizenry. What does he do instead? Calls them a bunch of suckers and losers. So of course the military tells him to eat sh*t.

Future diabolical presidents won't be so stupid.

If you believe that comment reported by an anonymous source (lol) by the completely unpartisan Atlantic (also lol) then not much else to say. Was an actual source named? Video/audio produced? You believe it because you want to believe it.

Bottom line: trump wasn’t going to start a nuclear war…at all. Milley should be court marshaled and tried for what he did.

People apparently LOVE to see the military so partisan, taking sides against Trump. That to me is almost as sad as breaking the chain of command like Milley did.

Quote or no quote, Trump doesn't have any patience for the idea of sacrifice or service to others. He's shown none of it in his life, and proudly so. He is what he is. But it's pretty clear the military didn't feel respected at all by him, regardless of what was or wasn't said.

But didn't Trump threaten nuclear war with North Korea at least once during his presidency?
https://www.usnews.com/news/world-r.../north-korea-threatens-us-with-nuclear-attack

It's not beyond the pale to think it couldn't repeat and someone with less resolve behind the panic button wouldn't lose their nerve.

After all, a few months after that nuclear sabre-rattling, Iran blew a Ukranian passenger jet out of the sky thinking it could have been a U.S. missile because of the escalated war situation after Trump drone-attacked Iran:

And that's when Trump wasn't feeling threatened of being kicked out of his office. So it's not irrational.

That Suleimani drone attack could’ve been escalated to something much bigger. I’m so happy that he’s dead, but had some crazy guys in Iranian armed forces decided to take real revenge it could’ve been a war. Thankfully ye opted to send a prior warning before firing missiles to an American base.

to think he was just going to start a nuclear war is irrational without proof.

his tough talk on Kim is not proof

his strike on solemani is not proof

certainly Iran shooting down an airliner is not proof nor was that trumps fault. Surely you’re not blaming Trump for Iran shooting down a passenger jet?

Also, as a member of the armed forces I have yet to cross paths with anyone that thinks trump disrespected them. He talks tough to leadership…so fucking what, at least someone did/does. If generals and admirals don’t have thick skin by the time they become flag officers then they shouldn’t accept that appointed position.

This country is ruled by the military industrial complex and wall street. Order came from top because they were wary of possibility (I mean the guy got people to attack the capitol), not likelihood.
