..

You got to be a good finisher to score almost every penalty that comes up. Its not just kicking the ball to the net. No one at Juve can take better PK's, so would you prefer Trez to take the PK', just to please their goal ratio??

Imo DP shouldn't be degraded for his goal tally because of PK's.

nor should be Zlatan's for not being the one taking them ;)

an for the point that not everyone can take a penalty, it's very true that it is pretty ****ed up.

Miha was asked once (after famous miss durning the derby) who never misses a penalty? He said the ones that dont take them :D

you are overating penalty taking ability... penalty kicks are specially designed so that its easier for the attaking team to score against the defending team... there is no way penalty goals are on the same level of difficulty as open play goals... the ratio between goals scored per penalty and goals scored per open play chance is beyond comparable....

I know its much more difficult to score from open play than a penalty kick, but what i was saying is that DP shouldnt be degraded from his goal tally just because he's specialist in taking PK's.

thats my point..'pk specialist ' is overated.... pk is an unfair advantage to compare goal rates . You already know how easy they are compare to regular goals. so its unfair to give this 'easy' goals only to one parrticular player...

Do ya suggest to give PK everytime for a different player for the sake of universal justice???

no.

DP is good at it and he should be the one taking them.

Just that when comparing his goal to minutes played ratio, take the penalties out...

..

Another point on PK's, imo if the player (DP) earned the PK by himself, then the credit for it should be as much as open goal. Besides, how many PK's has DP taken this season? 2?

What i meant.... in clear words...
There is nothing called easy goal in football... we only call it a GOAL never mind if it is a PK, Own goal, Maradonna's goal against England...
all of these are considered goals no matter what....

Which is why I want to see more of the trident attack. DP and Zlatan creating, Trez finishing.

Yeah, that would be great. With Nedved in midfield, it's fantastic.
However, defence might suffer a bit.

Actually nothing on this forum leads anywhere. Because no Juventus player or manager, squad member or whatever are reading.

(Let's hope I'm wrong though) :greedy:

And about the thread subject. It's not like Zalayeta would score as often if he played 90 minutes each game.
The reason to why Ibra is playing the most is that Capello (who unlike you is in charge of Juventus line up) feels that he contributes the most to our game.

So he has not only scored the most goals and been behind many goals too. On top of that he has played the most minutes. Which means he is our best allround forward so far this season.

We've raised this issue often.

But you're right. They are either too busy or don't speak any English :D

And welcome to the forums, btw ;)

What is easier: converting a penalty or a tap in? Certainly the latter so if Del Piero's penalties shouldn't be included in goal per minute ratios then neither should Trezeguet's tap ins from five yards out. A goal is a goal, whether it be a penalty, a tap in, a one on one finish or a scud from outside the area, the difficulty level of goals doesn't have anything to do with goal per minute ratios.
