Ive heard a couple Portishead songs and theyre quite cool

Jeeks you should post the best Thievery Corporation songs so I can download them
This kind of music is designed to be listened to as an album. Its all a bigass flow. IMO the flow and continuous mix and/or organization of songs in most chillout albums is what makes them soo beautiful. Listening to full albums over singles is what seperates the boys from the men. Only DJs need to listen to the individual songs, us consumers should just buy the compilations and albums.

I love Thievery Corp for as Jeeks said, their variety in their tracklists and the sheeer quality in their albums. Its unbelievable how many different ethnic genres they've fused. I've even heard persian vocals in some of their songs. That's just brilliant.

If your into beautiful nostalgic music (thats a really cheesy description but what the heck) check out Ulrich Schnauss. Both the albums in my list. You will NEVER regret it. His most famous song is Nobody's Home (though I don't regard it as his very best). The guy is a genius and has developed his own trademark sound that honeslty can be describe as pure sonic bliss. He's releasing his first artist album that was released in 2001 called Far Away Trains Passing By (because its out of print now) this coming October with an extra bonus CD with unreleased material. Can't wait. He was also rumoured to be releasing a new CD sometime soon.
