after writing that i thought: why the hell im worried about not playing games?

But hey, I've saved lots of money too in the past 10 years- by NOT buying any computer games ;) (cause I don't play them)
I've saved so much money in 21 years by not buying crack or pot..

I also saved money on not buying an F-15 Eagle.

I should write a book on how to save money.

Why would you want to carry your whole collection with you anyways?!
Why the feck wouldn't you? :)

Having 30 songs or whatever is ok(for some people) if you're travelling over short distances or not using it alot, or frequently is located near your source of music(most likely your computer), but a lot of people aren't. Also, I might not need to carry around 10.000 songs with me all of the time like I can with my iPod, but I would certainly need more than what you can jam into most flash-players. I just love the freedom a large player like the Pod offers, and I can't imagine using a "small" player again, at least for more than a few weeks.

I explained, above, my reason for not wanting to have my whole collection with me....

anyhow, you're right. It depends on the person. I had a little sony flash player. When i travelled back home for vacations, i had my laptop with me and i used to update the songs every couple of weeks. A 512 MB player can carry more than 70 high quality tracks.... that's pretty good IMO and i can use the player while running, working out, and even while light soccer training without working about dropping it and damaging the HDD.

So, it's just a matter of your lifestyle in the end :)

It wasn't really a question to you per se, I was more expressing my disagreement with the comment. I'll try to be clearer the next time.

I don't really understand the working out argument of the flash players, I go jogging with my iPod and that works great. Don't go running with it for more than 30 minutes though, but I don't think too many people do that. Working out in the gym also works great of course.

yeah, but if you're a klutz like me, you'll want something that does't have moveble parts in it (like a HDD) :D

I probibly drop my cell phone more than i it :D

but seriously, when you listen to old special tracks a lot, doesn't it devalue it a bit?

Nah ... that would be something like "shunadvokatis" ... which I think literally translates to a dog lawyer.
