Adblock, Flashblock, Dictionary lookup. Those are the ones I have.

Bookmark back up, fasterfox, file title, flash got, IE tab, Image zoom, Video downloader (grabs you tube vids) and the mostly crystal theme.

I have a bug, i m using the portable version of firefox 2, the third edition, on windows ofcourse and i have this problem, whenever i try to "bookmark this page", the name/title of the page is lost and i have to repeat the procedure, every time i try, with the second try, it is logged correctly with the name i type.
My Firefox 2 automatically upgrades and tracks back the old extensions as they become available for firefox two, i ve added nothing new and i never had the same problem with the older version, any ideas why its happening?
using the old edition works fine...

All of the functionality enhancements in Firefox 2.0 seem to slow me down. Or they make you fight previous behaviour which is never a good design improvement.

i still prefer Opera. i used FF 2.0 in edgy for a few days to see if it changes me mind....still, no mouse gestures is a BIG no no for me! good to see tabs havin their own close button by default! but mouse gestures......without that, they hand the best browser trophy to Opera!!!! LOL

He basically said Firefox 2.0 is nothing special.. :broken:
i said; it's not that much of a improvement over 1.5. i really expected a lot more for a 2.0 release. well perhaps all the improvements are under the hood. ;)

ok guys, i'll explain it, why opera is for me the best there is.
DISCLAIMER: i'm not saying firefox can't do any of the things listed below, but opera does it by default. you install opera and this is what you get.

    what i love about opera:

    - tabbed browsing. duh..
    - mouse gestures. ff really has to put that in the default installation. and the add-on they have for mouse gesture doesn't do it any justice. i don't remember the last time i pressed the back/forward button
    - integrated mail client; ff has a nifty g-mail checker. duh; opera has a mail client that supports the pop3 protocol and you can downlaod all your gmail right to your desktop without the need to log into mail.google.com
    - it's cost savy: if you pay your internet per the MB, you'll learn to love opera
    - it has a integrated irc chat client
    - it has a integrated rss feed reeder
    - it has a integrated .torrent client
    - it has a integrated widget engine
    - it starts up faster than any other browser
    - and to rap it up; it's proven to be the fastest browser time and time again. no add on will make your ff load pages faster than opera. and that's the most important thing in a browser for me

ff has tons of options to be customised to your specific needs, and that is really great, but what i listed for opera is all the customazation i need. all the things that matter for me in a browser, and it's out of the box. just like ubuntu. :toast:
