I'm pleasantly surprised by Opera, testing now.

Interesting feature is "Fit to Width" when attached images are lot bigger then the content here.

No, I downloaded and used Opera once and didn't see what the big deal was. Firefox is miles ahead of IE but I didn't see a big difference with Opera and FF.

Does Opera have add ons?

Do the right thing and install Opera 10.

Right. Now do you know if it is possible to remove the Opera icon from system tray?
In the program shortcut path, just type the argument "-notrayicon" in linux, and "/notrayicon" in Windows. Then opening the icon will do what you want. Dont ask me how to do this globally. I'm still searching how to do this.

As for Alt+S, in Opera, if you press Shift+Esc, you'll get the access keys, and then pressing S does the Alt+S function. But Tab+Sapce is much easier as Asif said.

@Ze: Opera doesnt need Addons, cos it has a whole wealth of features OOtB. But if you really want some plugins, then install what Opera calls Widgets. Dont bother comparing them with the FF addons.

shift+Esc is great :D

Can one customize it?
You can customize the keyboard shortcut for the access keys. Not sure you can customize the options available for the access keys.

Go to Pref>Adv>Shortcuts and click on Edit next to keyboard shortcuts. Search for Esc, and you'll find 'Esc shift'. Double click on it and change it to what you want.

EDIT: I think the Access Key list options are author defined. I dont get the options in some of the forums.

here's more info about Opera 10:

- Lock tabs. Right click a tab and choose 'lock tab’ – wonderful for tabs you don’t want to be closed accidentally – When viewing pages, such as search results, keep hitting that space bar. When you get to the end of the page, Opera will follow the 'next’ link. – Save text snippets with reference to their original page. Highlight the text on the page and choose 'Copy to note’ from the right click menu, and it does just that. The note itself also acts as bookmark back to the source.
