I think you are mistaking a legend / myth with historical accuracy...

This is by far the most historically accurate version of king arthur so far.
(outside of certain chosen locations... what was it with having a certain episode at hadrians wall when we know full well, said incident was down south - though i spose it made a nice set)

The whole point of this fim was to take the story from what is actually known in history about arthur and that time, not to jus rehash the legend / myth

AS such i enjoyed it very much and if i want to see the legend i'll jus stick excalibur on
Fair enough ;)

"Bourne Supremacy"... Qualty mindless entertainment.
Was it better or worse than Bourne Identity?

For a second time - "House of Flying Daggers"... Best film ive seen this year, Even surpassing (and by a long way) Yimou's previous work of art 'Hero'
Very interesting; I haven't heard much about this movie, but I thoroughly enjoyed Hero. I'll make sure I check it out if I get a chance

I'm a typical Brit I'm afraid - a little dumb when it comes to history - is this Arthur King guy a historical fact now - or myth as I was taught as a wee laddie (not lady)?

as far as I know.. it's a myth (the story that we know about Arthur and Camelot..etc).. but some say it draws it's story-line from a real age and a real british leader, but it got polished and extended to what it has become thanks offcourse to the imagination and creativity of the poets and the ancestors of britain over many centuries...

but the fact remains that there was a British King called Arthur (in the sixth century I believe.. the year 500 and fourtiesh or something....:undecide: )

btw, the movie is not released here yet.. what the **** are they waiting for.. getting released on dvd...!!!??

Thanks for replying Gandalf:

To be honest I've read quite a few books on Arthur - but none of them can say he 'factually' lived - always just a myth:confused:

Anyway - who cares - lets just enjoy the movie

I didn't mean that he is the same person.. I was pointing out that there was a king called "Arthur" who lived and acknowledged by history as a british leader..

maybe he is the same person as the "king Arthur of Camelot".. and maybe he isn't..

but, again.. I think it's a myth..

I checked the "now showing" section for this weekend.. finally it is there.. :groan:

The Last Sammuri is a fanastic movie. I thought it would suck at first, but actually its the best movie I've seen all year. Better than Lord of the Rings, thats for sure.

Yeah, the Last Samurai was above average.

I watched this "51 first kisses" with Drew Berimore, and it was a total disaster. Yes another cheap attempt to parody the "Groundhog Day".
