Believing in fantasies existence is the same with believing in miracles. You watched the Green Mile?

This man should have friggin won an oscar...He won all the pre-oscar awards, here is an AWESOME speech in one of those pre-oscar shindigs :D

Prolly the reason he didnt win, because he brings too much realness for their phony asskissery asses to handle :p

Penn is amazing, but something tells me the main reason he won was to make a statement agains the anti-gay law the state Hollywood is in, voted yes on, and the political issue of this movie clearly being about that.

Penn is amazing. But Hollywood is decidedly a Southern California thing, and the San Francisco story of Harvey Milk plus the gay thing (save for West Hollywood) is a decidedly Northern California story thing. NorCal and SoCal are like oil and water in some ways -- they don't really mix. SoCal always elects all the governors, for example, due to their population advantage.

So I don't agree with that theory -- very little of what goes on in NorCal matters to the Hollywood set.

come on, you don't have to be a liberal to crack jokes at bush
Leary is basically angry at stupidity. Lewis Black is that way, and he's way liberal. Just that Leary will take cheap shots at liberals or conservatives -- he really doesn't care.

Spirit awards is my favorite awards show. They always do funny skits or sing songs regarding the best picture nominees and a lot of good movies that don't have major studios behind them get recognition.

Leary is so obvious though, and boring. It's like he can't really convince me that he's truly superior to the people he's bashing.
