where? Sozo World? they bring Eng. movies that fast now?
Yes Sozo World. Its being shown at the Lahore DHA cinema too.

Anyway,i just got back a little while ago,and i i have to say that i was dissapointed with Iron Man.For starters, the villain wasnt strong enough. For a superhero movie to work, having a strong villain is integral. This is why Batman and Superman movies are much better than Spiderman etc. Also, for a superhero movie to work, you need to make the whole element of 'this isnt believable' look pretty believable. That simply doesnt work for me in Iron Man's initial stages.I mean,he gets captured in Afghanistan, and builds an entire Iron Suit with all the ammunition.. without the other guys knowning..despiite the cameras that they've placed in there? That was pretty crappy. The movie got better and believable after that, but it wasnt really something to write home about. The story definatley isnt slow,it moves forward at a quick pace, which is good, but it doesnt really grip the viewer. It misses something. The effects were pretty cool, and the the music went with the movie really well.Downey has acted well, but the movie as a whole simply didnt work for me.I might not have even liked the effects had i not watched it in a cinema. Also,i think they got the language wrong. At some parts they used Urdu, and in other parts they used Pushto.Someone who doesnt understand either language wouldnt notice the difference, but someone from this part of the world will.I think the moviemakers didnt realize this.Gwyneth Paltrow was for the role of the secretary. She has this natural aura of innocence and niceness that really worked well with her character. All in all, dissapointing effort.

:howler: totally agree, was a lame-ass film...no more superhero movies for me after The Incredible Hulk and The Dark Knight...and Gwyneth looked so old in the movie...bad news is they are gonna make 2 more!

I was about to write a long post explaining the dynamics of the different superhero characters and how you shouldnt judge them with the same standards, how they are different as comic characters etc.

But I scraped all of that, when I read you said the (first 2, not 3rd one) great Spiderman movies is inferior to the INSANELY pathetic Superman flick. Even alluding to is bizzare, kills any will to share any viewpoints whatsoever.
