farrell is too raw imo, he's good for miami vice but he lacks the class for a bond. owen on the other hand is the total opposite and would make a great bond.

Agree he's a poor choice for Bond, but I'm willing to wait for reviews before finally damning him.

though i admier what they ahve tried to do, with making bond more gritty and tough.
sean connory was the best bond and the simple reason is he was menacing when eh had to be, he looked like he could handle himself and had a dangerous edge with natural charisma. they ahve tried suave, smooth and, in the case of roger moore, a playboy bond. sean connory was the best not because he was the original but because he looked like a man who could handle the fight.

yeah that's a pretty good recap, connery just had it in him. like i said i really don't have anything against craig, i'm actually looking forward to seeing him, who knows maybe he proves us wrong, but still the feeling just isn't right.
still i'm hoping to see owen take on the part in the future, he has that something a bond needs, other than the black hair.
i also liked brosnan but the problem is he just got shit ass bond movies, too concentrated on the commercial side. they were just too fucking john woo-ish.
