I watched "Girl with a Pearl Earring" because my gf is into 17th-century kind of stuff. I must admit, I was less bored than I anticipated, and even though the movie isn't that intense as such, the storyline wasn't stale or cliche, and there were good performances all around. Scarlett Johansson is a fine actress, i'm looking forward to seeing more from her in future
