Just that, it's one of those movies that don't make sense either. Well it does, but only up to a certain point. It's probably made that way to make you leave with a confused feeling.

And to stimulate hundreds of internet web sites trying to figure it out.
I still don't get what you mean. I didn't think there was any hidden meaning or anything like that.

It was just a trippy ass movie.

I think the movie had something to do with time looping. If you remember Donnie does a lot of reading up on time travel and he foresees the airplane crashing into his house and the death of Frank.

My brother says that he sends the airplane back in time and causes the accident if you pay attention to dates and the two seemingly irrelevant scenes in the beginning and end of the movie. I'd have to see it again though.

Yes, it does. But the time loop doesn't make sense. Also isn't the dance group of his sister on the airplane that crashes?

I think so. It's like he sends them into an alternate universe and they just reappear. I feel like it was intentionally left open to speculation.

You do realize he's not just a schizophrenic?
The schizophrenia is a ruse for his role as the Living Receiver. With messages from the dead (as a rabbit) on how best to repair the spurious formation of a parallel universe back to its rightful place.

Have you ever seen Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead?

Bill and Ted, recently watched an interesting 80s teen movie called Fast times at Ridgemond high, with Sean Penn in his first movie, playing an impeccable character named Spicoli :D And I realized what a TOTAL ripoff Bill and Ted were on this character, heh.

That kind of was the idea. Then somehow Keanu made a major movie career after that. Almost as bizarre as Tom Hanks after he did Bosom Buddies.

The kite runner book > movie
That quote was specifically about the God Father films(s) compared to the book, which is great (btw, also recommend "The Sicilian" by Mario Puzo, covers an impeccable story around when Michael Corleone was in Italy), but IMO films better. I certainly do NOT mean movies are better generally, its extremely to the absolute opposite.
