Recently watched a movie that almost got me excited as Terminator 2: The Venom with Tom Hardy. Brilliant movie.

Thought it was absolute crap. Hardy is not funny at all, can't do comedy.

Went to see Midsommar in the cinema
Normally I would never go to the cinema to watch a horror because it really takes me out of the moment I can't stand people gasping and laughing.
I like watching movies alone in the dark with headphones on.

So I'm not sure if this was the reason I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. I loved Hereditary and I loved the first 15/20 minutes if Midsommar but the majority of the rest seemed like a comedy.

Next Bond will be a black woman. WTF.
I bet the movie will flop hard.
Them loud mouthed SJW/LGBT folks on twitter ruin everything with their bitching.

Hopefully it fails. Terminator too. May they all pull a Ghostbusters. I hate that forced gender bend shit, just like when they intentionally only cast asian or black actors to play a character known to be a white european, ignoring history and lore of comics/films left and right. A no go for real fans of the franchise. But gotta do whatever it takes to please those pink haired shitheads.

I saw it in the cinema yesterday. I thought it was pretty good, but I was also aware that it was far more comedic than Hereditary. Definitely thought the 1st act and 3rd act were the strongest. Pretty decent study into grief and belonging.

I think I would of enjoyed it much better if I watched it the way I normally watched movies. I still liked it though and I will definitely watch it again. I'm expecting more great things to come from this director.
