Pulp Fiction is pretty great. And Django Unchained really is excellent too. Add to that Reservoir Dogs and you already have three movies I think were completely awesome. That's not too shabby.

Also, I like all three of those movies because of the dialogues rather than the violence. So many quotes..
Tarantino movies are entertaining and just a one watch wonder.
Yeah, I think Soren made a good point. When it comes to Tarantino movies I'd never come in a position to say I'd like to watch some movie twice.

I don't think that's a good example of a good dialog movie as most of those as one liners. I hardly think you can have a good dialog movie with a narrowed plot.

Although.. I never watched Pulp Fiction.

Tuz members getting excited over superhero movies and diss Tarantino.. :sergio:
What a silly post. How the f did you come up with that :lol2:

When it comes to a super hero movies I think they are generally all pure crap. Capetan America Winter Soldier is probably the best one out there and yet I'd give it 7/10. I'd like to watch new Avengers simply because it'd be 2h of entertainment and brainless action. Surely they can't be compared. So there's no way I'm giving too much credit to super hero movies and also there's no way I'm dissing Tarantino as a shit direction, I'm just saying he's overrated. He obviously has good movies but they are not as great as some make them out to be but that's obviously a different taste I guess.

You know what? Fuck it. I can't stand Tarantino and I think half of his movies are pure shit (especially Kill Bill). I think some of his movies are classics and will pass the test of time. I think of Pulp Fiction in particular. But there is no way I am going to be this guy's advocate in a discussion :D.

Quentin Tarantino is basically a puerile immature man-child obsessed with the hyper-violent, the hypersexual, and racial tensions. And for what it is, it's good. Some of his films are very good for what they are. Pulp Fiction being his best. Reservoir Dogs being next. Most of the rest is massively overrated and built more upon his star-power and reputation than actual quality filmmaking. Seriously, Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds are mediocre as fuck. But we live in an era where hype and past popularity is more important than the actual quality of current projects, at least in the film industry. People want violent, sexual, mindless entertainment, even better if borders on the controversial especially in a racial or gender context, and Tarantino is perhaps the gold standard here.

Anyways, he's clearly very good at what he does, but let's not portray his films as something they are not. They can certainly be appreciated for what they are, but trying to elevate them into masterpiece status is pretty farfetched.

Dont tell me you read the chicken egg theory :D

@JuveMkd Lol at first I was like wtf did I just watch?!! That is impossible!!! Then I read a parallel dimensions theory. That is the only way to explain it. A decision that he/she/it made created a split in the timeline somewhere that lead to an alternate timeline where he/she/it was able to create it/that

This would be behind Pulp Fiction and similar level to Reservoir Dogs for me. Ahead of all the newer dreck. I really think Tarantino drove himself way too far into this white male adolescent fantasy world with each passing film after Jackie Brown. It's a little ridiculous at this point and detracts from the films.
