I think the most underrated player in the world is David Trezeguet, when I hear people in a conversation discussing the best strikers in the world, I always hear the usual names of "Henry, Van Nistelroy etc..", but I have never heard of Trezeguet. The guy is huge, the guy has one of the best finishes in the world, if you give him the ball in front of the net he will not put it wide, or to the keeper. He simply does his job like he's meant to as a striker, no need to do those Henry flicks, he will just do his job, whether it's a bicycle kick or whichever. David doesn't get his credit to be honest, he's so damn loyal, after Juve got demoted he STAYED at Juve, he even accepted a wage drop.

The man scores, the man makes assists, he does his job and that's all he needs to do.

Camoranesi also.
The guy is brilliant and you'll hardly hear a non-Juve fan mentioning his name among world's top 20 midfielders.

All you people are right, camo AND trez are indeed underrated. But I'm going to go with Christiano zanetti, this player has been in the shadow fro most of his career yet he's one of the best CMs in serie A.

That has nothing to do with rating a player.

Trezeguet is given the credit rightly, the whole world knows how great he is, But sure he isn't on the top. You are just overrating him.

I know it didn't really matter, but it was a bit of extra to say about the guy :).
Even though he's not the best in the world, I strongly believe he's one of the best but never gets a mention when speaking to other fans (mainly EPL supporters).

Camoranesi and Hleb are my obvious answers whenever this question arises. It's gotten better over the last 1-2 seasons but I'm not settling until your average glory hunting doofus will stop giving me the "Camoranesi who? lol c-ronaldo, kaka, pwns ronaldinjo the best n00b".

Cristiano Zanetti. Our top assist man and the heartbeat of our midfield for the past two years, yet most of us want to replace him every summer.
