Rome must be hell to drive in with a new Roma player involved in an accident every month. Funny how the Lazio players never get involved in this. I suppose they stick to Lazio and never actually drive into the city.. :D Or just stick to Rome's impeccable public transportation ;)

Carew in car crash scare
Friday 14 May, 2004

John Carew has become the latest Roma player to be involved in a car crash, but the Norwegian has escaped serious injury.

The former Valencia striker was driving out of the training ground this afternoon when his Ferrari crashed into a Fiat coming the other way.

The two cars reportedly then skidded across the road and struck another vehicle, but thankfully none of the drivers or their passengers were seriously hurt.

This is the latest embarrassing setback for the Capital club, as many of their stars have been involved in road accidents over the last two years.

Francisco Lima crashed Vincent Candela’s car into a row of bins in the city centre, then Antonio Cassano was stopped for riding a motorbike without a helmet.

Francesco Totti and Vincenzo Montella have also been penalised for traffic infringements, while Christian Panucci was involved in a crash earlier this year.

Or is this just a case of Roma players being the worst drivers in Italy?

And they wanna send us Emerson, probably to crash every car in the players' parking lot and cause huge embarassment to FIAT ;)

    Nice thread Martin :D

Speaking of cars, it's really interesting that Italian cops get a speedy wheel Lamborghini Gallardo. Wow!
And now Roma players should be careful ;)

Italian cops get Lamborghini's? Maybe I should become a cop there.

It was always amusing how the Roma players are always involved in car accidents indeed.

Indeed the Lazio players stay out of the city :D They train in Formello and that's outside Rome and most of the players live in Olgiatta (poshy neighbourhood, can't even enter if you are not inveted to some place or live there  ) that's only a couple of minutes away from Formello. The single Laziali live in the city though, but not really in the center so that's probably why no accidents happened ... yet :D
