no, I agree. They think that his tackling will make up for the endless pressure and insecurity he is going to put our team through this season.

We have midfielders than can pass but they are either gone now, leaving or won't start over Momo.

im not sure whether his passing has gotten worse the past 12 months, or whether he never could pass but he wasnt exposed under ranieri. because as Lucky Lukem mentioned, he rocked under Ranieri.

It is a problem, he lacks passing skills, but is by far the best option in terms of having a player to breakdown opposition attacks, put the pressure on and be a monster in the midfield.

I have seen Melo and dont think he passes well either...i dont think he tackles all that great either...he looks slow at times...and probably has a lot more to get exposed to than momo.

Facts are that both momo and melo have their weaknesses, and i dont think either are the ideal player to play next to Marchisio.

Should the club look at selling both and bringing in better quality? If so, who?

another thing, it is pre-season, shouldnt this be the time where he gets help to develop his passing skills? Surely he can improve with the right help.
