" Momo Sissoko underwent x-ray, CAT scan and magnetic resonance imaging tests which did not show any traces of fractures but an oedema to the left foot which was operated on last spring. Tomorrow he will be visited by Professor Cerulli and in the coming days the therapeutic approach to take will be established. "

" Momo Sissoko rested. The midfielder was today visited by Prof. Giuliano Cerulli who confirmed the diagnosis made by Prof. Flavio Quaglia yesterday. The absence of residue from the fracture of the fifth metatarsus of the left foot which had pins inserted was confirmed. There is therefore no need for surgery. The Juventus medical staff reserves the right to establish the return to sporting activities after a further clinical and instrumental test on schedule for tomorrow. "

According to reports in the Italian press today, The Soaker will be out for 1 month, and thus missing the first games of the season.
A new operation is not necessary though.

Sissoko injury drags on
Friday 7 August, 2009
Momo Sissoko has had to delay his return to training after the Juventus midfielder’s foot injury flared up again.

The Mali international underwent surgery for a fracture in his left foot on March 10 and was expected back in full training with his teammates this week.

“I want to play football, but my foot still hurts,” he told journalists.

Tests were performed that found some complications to worry the Juventus medical staff.

“The fracture is perfectly healed, but there is bruising around the fifth metatarsal,” explained doctor Bartolomeo Goitre.

“Basically there is an inflammation between the bones that requires new analysis and consultation.

“Right now we cannot give a prognosis. The only thing we can rule out is further surgery, because the fracture has gone and the screws are solidly in place.”

Sissoko has been out of action for five months and it is highly unlikely he will be ready to play before mid-September.

Really bad,and he needs some adjustments and fitness after he starts training.
Pity, very pity, the start is very important.
