Yeah I mean it was a low risk - high reward investment + added good relations with Raiola. Best case scenario was that a change of country would re-focus him and he'd instantly be worth more than the tiny 1.9m we paid. Worst case scenario was.....well this.

It's a shame because he looked like a decent talent as well
Understatement of the century.

Kid looks like he could be worldclass. Pure instinct and talent even with little effort. We took a gamble, it wasn't too expensive.

If he could turn it around and we get an elite level attacker for less than 5m we'd look like geniuses. Sadly seems like his head isn't in it and he's struggling since his father's passing.

There are reports he hasnt really met his family and wasnt anywhere near them.

Sounds like Sampdoria called him fat and he got touchy..

In reality, Mohamed Ihattaren had found his form in the last couple of months at Sampdoria and could have been used in the game against Cagliari on Oct 17. The real (and more serious) problem of the 19 yrs old Dutch is a spiral of depression that he had since 2019, when he faced the trauma of losing his father.

❗️It seems that Ihattaren would have confessed to his friends that he doesn't want to play football anymore.

5 mil was a good risk for a kid with his talent. He’s under contract until 2025. If he needs to take time away I hope juve provide some resources instead of just abandoning him. I obviously dunno anything about him personally, but I’d still be surprised if his “retirement” was permanent.

Really a sad situation if he’s still struggling with the death of his father. No 19 y/o will stop following his dream unless something is really wrong on a mental level. Wish him all the best.
