My bad...my Juve history is not what I thought it was... il Codino was already with us then. HOWEVER, you have to admit that Alex was not a very large part of the 95/96 team. If I remember correctly he was not a starter. Far from it.
I thought selling Baggio because you had Del Piero was a LAME excuse ... they should have been honest. Its like saying you are going to sell Nedved because you have Miccoli. Del Piero is less imposing on the team in the sense that the team revolved around him MUCH less than it did around Baggio. Now that I remember correctly Baggio's team success with Juve was limited to a UEFA CUp and Scudetto which he AND Del Piero were very little part of.
Over all, good move...nothing to cry about. However, as a fan...another 'less than impressive' move by the team. If you follow Eagle.

Incubo Del Piero WAS a starter in the 95/96 champions league campaign, he scored some of his legenderaly goals from the Del Piero zone in that year in the CL.
