its a pretty funny show but i don't see it lasting very long. the writers have too many elements they need to combine with all the different characters. normally that would be a good thing but based on the premise of this show it would just get too out of hand and over the top -- similar to another comedy that a lot of people rate too highly *cough* *cough* the office *cough* *cough*

The original 'The Office' in Britain, was aweful, it was really overrated and everything it claimed to be doing that was new had been done before. It was basically spinal tap set in a office, and it didnt work. 'The Office: An American Workplace' took a really bad concept and make it even worse and completely missing the point of the original, which i can at least respect the original for (actually having a message). I have written a couple of essays on them, and i despise them.

I'm into neither production of The Office. Both seemed to dwell on petty and annoying characters I have no reason to care about. People if I met in real life, I would try to avoid. So why wouldn't I also avoid them on TV?

But this show looks worth checking out...

i've seen a few British episodes and they aren't too bad. the problem was that i couldn't understand what anyone was saying most of the time.

but i really don't like the original and the U.S. version of the program very much at all. the U.S. version is just silly
