Vucinic's book value is €5.6m with 1.5 years left in contract, Guarin's book value most probably €6.5m with 2.5 years left, so makes sense that our initial offer was Vucinic+€1m.

He was really keen on joining us in 2012, though. And it's pretty clear where he wants to play after todays events. The deal was heading for the shitter this evening until he decided to put pressure on Inter.

Yeah, but clubs rarely trade at book value. For instance Marchisio's is around 50k last time I checked, but we wouldn't trade him for that petty sum.
