I can see that, but I think we would be a much bigger threat to score with Mirko there instead of the non-existent-in-attack marchisio
Think about all the defensive work and running Marchisio does. You surely have seen those. Not tangible enough, but the most balanced posters around notice and appreciate that hard work. You can't expect from a midfielder to pose any kind of attacking threat. :D

Different situation.

Conte had obviously decided he had to play with a back four in that game.

With Lichtsteiner out, there wasn't anyone else to play right back.

I would also suggest Caceres' natural fitness may be rather better than Vucinic's, which means he can get back to playing that much quicker.

So long as Tevez doesn't get injured in the next couple of games, I see no reason to even contemplate bringing Vucinic back in so quickly.
Yeah, you might be right. Though with Vuci you never know when he will be good for a big game, fit or not, kind of hit and miss, the chances are obvious lower though.

As for the last part, I agree completely, I just pointed out that caceres even if in training, hadn't played a competative match for very long time but got a start in a very tough match.

Vucinic is rather useful forward to have around and good alternative for either Tevez or Llorente. The guy was one of our key players in the last 2 years, something often neglected and without any doubt he'll be yet again.

Vucinic-Tevez with chemistry could be immense to watch. Such a shame we never got a chance to see them develop it. There were glimpses right before he got hurt. Mirko was pulling off dummies on dummies on dummies and Tevez was recognizing it every time.

To be honest, I'm quite surprised by the fact that I do not actually miss him at all. I don't really know why this is so myself, but probably Llorente has impressed me and I was more concerned with Licht and Quagliarella.
Anyway, when he comes back, I hope Llorente doesn't get benched again. We saw glimpses of what he can against Genua already, I wonder what the reeaction of this forum would have been if he had scored the two chances he had adding to his great performance. With a little more playing time I'm sure the lion king will regain his scoring touch, and along with Tevez form a truly scary duo, that, unlike Vooch, performs every match, and not just once a month. I was always in favor of Vucinic the last few seasons as he was the only one who could offer a little flair, even if he was as inconsistent as ever, but now it's time for him to step back. I'd go as far as saying that we should only use him for rotation and in case of any injuries. He's never really been great as a substitution, Quags and even Giovinco have often been more effective at that role.

You need to stop living in the past when it comes to Mirko. Yes, he was important in our first 2 seasons, but that's only cos we really had no one else as good as him. That's not the case this season. We've made significant upgrades, so past achievements are not relevant when assessing the current situation. We need to focus on Tevez-Llorente cos they are our future.

Also, "without any doubt"? You're clearly oblivious to his inconsistency as well as how unconvincing he is as a sub as compared to a starter.

Easy man.:D If you followed I've said in Llorente's thread that it would be good to continue with those 2 regardless of Mirko's recovery.

I'm perfectly aware of his consistency issues and I've reiterated them more than a few times. One season can have many turning points and player of Vucinic's caliber, who as you've said was very important for us previously, is still a valuable asset to have. Who knows, he might even start alongside Tevez and Lorente in some of the games.

I haven't, but it's good to know that. I'm simply saying that Vucinic is not as critical to our success right now as he was in the last 2 seasons. He can obviously make important contributions, just like Gio, Quags or any other player. But out primary focus needs to be on Tevez & Llorente. Also, he just turned 30 this month. A 30+ player cannot be our main striker unless he's got extraordinary skills like Tevez, Del Piero, etc. Mirko is not such a guy. Not with his temperament and inconsistency.

If you are aware of it, then I question how you could make that statement about having no doubts. Cos his inconsistency is a serious cause for concern.

Now you're downplaying a little bit his importance, but we'll make a resume at the end of a season regarding how much certain player participated and embedded his performances into our results. :)

Because I've never seen that one club can endure entire season relying on just 2 forwards. Vučinić will get his chance at one point to prove his value and then we'll judge. I have right to hope that he'll deliver, haven't I?

Verona and Torino this year, against Milan in Coppa Italia last year,...can't remember any other game he came on as a substitute tbh. Do you have any example for the contrary?
Cagliari last year. He came as a sub and brought us win. We looked extremely poor in the 1st half and when Vucinic was brought in he completely changed the course of the game.

I'm just calling it as it is. Vucinic ain't the big fish at Juve anymore.

You do. But you can't ignore aspects of him that cast doubt on the extent to which he can perform and contribute.
