Came off the bench against Napoli in super coppa and saved us with a goal and a won penalty.

I actually found all the info about his off the bench record :p
Came off the bench on 11 matches, played 371 minutes as a sub, scored 6 and assisted 1 goal. Plus he won a penalty.

Before he was subbed in, Juve's record in these 11 matches was 1 wins-3 draws-7 defeats. With his inclusion we turned that into 5 wins-4 draws-2 defeats.

Sheik destroyed!

But seriously, almost every striker has better stats when he's subbed in than if he starts the match. A striker is usually subbed in when his team is attacking and chasing a result. Add the fresher legs of the subbed player and it's normal that the stats are better when the striker comes off the bench.

Good job, Alen. But stats don't mean anything. A player can site 16 and 11 assists but still be demanded to be sold by certain fans. So Vucinic is the same. His unpredictable form will still persist when he comes on as a sub just as it is when he starts. That's why he's not a reliable bench striker. Which is why he needs to be sold.

Why do you bother, nik? You know you can't change my mind on Vucinic. Besides, Vucinic is terrible coming off the bench. He's not the sort of player who makes an instant impact. I'd consider it very unlucky if he was on our bench.
What the hell are you on about?

He's terrible when he comes off the bench? You make it sound like he causes a nuclear disaster. Who would you say is amazing coming off the bench exactly?

If you really want to provide facts, then why don't you provide a list of every substitute appearance by him and showing his game changing ability in each one of them? Since he's the BEST forward we've got, he must've turned our game around everytime his holy feet graced the pitch.

Why'd you ask for the stats only to prove you're inherently biased? :sergio:

this. matri and vuc as backups with quag as fifth choice? or sell one of matri and quag and get someone young as fifth?
sell one of quag or matri would be better, it will help with raising funds and help our wage structure, it just wouldn't make sense having someone like quagliarella as 5th choice, not unless he is prepared to be the next zalayeta but for his own good in a world cup year he should know that his days are numbered
