Give it a rest, people.

Juve can't compete with Man City.

Marotta isn't the main reason for that.

Marotta made a mistake with signing the likes of Martinez.

Signing Martinez wasn't a factor in Juve not getting someone like Aguero this summer.
If we really wanted to we could have signed the likes of Aguero - but we don't want to go that far - we would like WC at no-frills prices.

How?

40m transfer fee? Yeah, Juve could just about do that.

~12m in wages per season (~22m per season after tax)? Juve can't do that, unless they are planning to start playing in a 5-a-side league, so they only need a squad of about eight players.

1 - Thank you for your input but what's it to do with you
2 - I don't feel any urge to convince anyone of any point
3 - BA Devil is a self-defeating apologetic
1) Never said it had to do anything about me.
2) But, your trying to prove a point about El Kun, and how Marotta could get him if he did this. Right?

Poor BA D looking for some moral support -

We could sign Aguero if we are willing to take the risk - but we are gutless. We want to buy WC at half price and hope the rest of the football world don't realise and we somehow sneak the deal through.

Do i need to repeat myself?

Thats a ridiculous statement. Its so obviously a case of other clubs having more appeal, stronger squads to play with, more money, wanting the same players as us, that it should be considered a FACT...

Do you not understand that we really wanted to sign aguero. There is no doubt about that in my mind. We negogiated with his agent, were negogiating with his club. And then...? City got involved.

We cannot spend 38m on one player, as well as paying him 2-300000 per week. City can.

its really as simple as that, which makes it all the more strange that you continue to spout such lunacy as 'if we really wanted to we could have signed the likes of aguero'...if you add to that sentence, something like :
...'AS LONG AS MADRID, BARCA, MAN CITY, CHELSEA DONT WANT THE SAME PLAYER'...then it would make sense.

but as it stands, it suggests you have a poorly mistaken awareness of the current market, the curren state of play in terms of the top eauropean clubs, and also worst of all, a dangerously skewed perception of our own club.

But part of me thinks you are just playing devil's advocate...a role incredibly popular online.

not to mention even if we did offer such an outrageous salary, what would stop man city from offering him 13 or 14 or 15 million a year? that much is chump change for them, while for us it would destory our wage budget.

Are there really people blaming Marotta for not spending close to €150m on signing Agüero?

So people around here STILL THINK that it wasn't about the salary with Aguero, huh? And that he wasn't going to go to the team that offered him the most money

Did Aguero just become one of the top 5 highest paid footballers in the world with this contract?

Because we got a cash injection some fans suddenly think we can match any team financially, and its marotta's fault all the way if we fail otherwise. As much as i disliked marotta on certain actions in the past, i said that this summer i would judge him upon, and honestly can he really be faulted? I don't think so, tbh i would imagine moggi would do something similar

As much as we press for Aguero, we had a small chance of getting him. Soon as City came, we were left to the curb. We had no chance of competing with them. It's like a guy blowing off a modest looking girl for a model.
