"When I speak about raising the qualitative level of the team I refer to him [Aguero]. The Argentine is a great player"

no promise there, just simply admiring his quality, and would like to bring him.

You find the quote - anyways these players are not going to provide a significant upgrade to our team of last season - marginal at best
so...

So he speaks of aiming to raise the quality

Mentions Aguero as the type of player he requires to raise the quality

But instead gets Vucinic and somehow we are meant to find excuses for him?

Don't get stuck on the word "promise" buddy - He eluded, suggested, planned, to get players such as Aguero - but he got Vucinic instead.
so again it brings me back to what i said about unable to compete financially and in appeal. Do you really think we would beat man city on this one? 200k a week, CL football? i know we got away with krasic on that one, but you can't seriously blame marotta for not having a sugar daddy to back him.

1 - you can compete if you don't waste money on Martinez, Pepe, Motta, Lanzafame, Toni etc etc
2 - If you feel you can't compete from the beginning then don't mention names like Aguero and delude yourself and the world

so we would offer 200k a week in wages to aguero? what makes you think man city wouldn't offer 300 or 400k? look either way we were blown out of the water as soon as man city made an offer, there is no 2 ways about it. WE SIMPLY CAN'T COMPETE FINANCIALLY WITH THEM! whatever we offer, they will offer more to the point we can't match it. is it so hard to understand?

martinez, pepe, motta etc... are irrelevant

it is when you don't realise how man city are prepared to do anything to get who they want. as i said martinez, pepe, toni etc... or not WE CAN NOT COMPETE WITH MAN CITY ON A FINANCIAL SCALE! if we offer 100k to aguero, city would offer 200, if we offered 300 they would off 400 and so on, if you really think we could beat city on this one, then really you need a reality check.

oh man you're so dumb, for someone who thinks if we didn't sign martinez and co we would beat city to aguero. Even if we were to offer the 40 mill, city would still come in and offer more. Don't you see? is it so hard to comprehend?

On the other hand had city and probably madrid not made an offer, Aguero would probably be ours, so you can't blame Marotta for trying, its a catch 22 since people like yourself will bitch about not trying for 'world class' and still bitch when we fail at it and fail to comprehend why

are you a illiterate retard?

Let me simplify it for you

Marotta believe aguero would add the quality Juve needed to improve

Marotta made a move for Aguero believing that man city would not make a move as the tevez saga had seemed sorted.

We made a decent offer which Ath Madrid rejected as they were awaiting bigger bids, preferably from man city who were having issues with Tevez wanting out again

City made a substantially improved offer.

we can't compete with city even if we were to match their offer as they would merely increase there offer.

Where along these lines is it marotta's fault or any promises broken?

capische?

Give it a rest, people.

Juve can't compete with Man City.

Marotta isn't the main reason for that.

Marotta made a mistake with signing the likes of Martinez.

Signing Martinez wasn't a factor in Juve not getting someone like Aguero this summer.
